Reviews
The truck had a lively, casual street food atmosphere, with the kind of energy that makes you excited to see what’s coming out of the kitchen. Even as takeout, it felt like a fun local spot rather than just a simple grab and go stop.
I ordered the Tacos Dorado de Birria, which arrived deep fried, golden, and filled with tender shredded beef. They asked if I wanted the dipping soup, and while I wasn’t sure whether it was included, I went ahead and ordered it. It turned out to be a great addition and paired perfectly with the tacos.
We also tried the Quesa Birria, a crispy tortilla packed with beef and melted cheese. This dish really stood out. The crunchy shell, gooey cheese, and tender meat worked together beautifully. Dipping it in the soup made it even better and ended up being my favorite of the night.
Everything tasted fresh, hearty, and full of flavor, with generous portions and great texture in every bite.
The staff were warm and accommodating throughout, which made the experience even better.
Overall, Taqueria El Cinco De Mayo Food Truck is a great stop for bold, comforting Mexican flavors. I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu.
Prices are slightly high for a truck, but most food is higher now days.
Lastly, they have cheap Taco Tuesdays.
Overall a solid location to grab a quick bite.
The menu shows 5 tacos for $15.15, but when I was charged, it came out to $21.30 for 5 tacos. When I asked why, they said the $15.15 price only applies to chicken—this was not stated anywhere on the menu.
This is a hidden price issue. If different proteins cost more, that needs to be clearly disclosed upfront. Otherwise, customers are misled.
Advice to others: ask the price before ordering, or you may end up paying more than expected. Small overcharges add up—if this happens to many customers, it’s not okay.
Very disappointing pricing transparency.
Road sign says $2 each. Charged $4.20 per taco. Excuse given: “only chicken” — not written anywhere. That’s misleading and unacceptable. Check your receipt carefully.
