Mason’s Lobster Rolls in downtown Dallas is a great stop when you’re craving seafood that actually feels fresh and satisfying — and our meal delivered across the board.
We ordered both the Classic Lobster Roll and the Lobster Salad Roll, and did them Bar Harbor style (extra lobster). That was 100% the right move — both rolls were loaded, flavorful, and didn’t feel skimpy at all. We also had the lobster bisque, which was rich and comforting and paired perfectly with the rolls.
Everything we ate was genuinely great, and the service was good — friendly and efficient without hovering.
If you want a reliable lobster roll spot downtown, Mason’s hits the mark.

If you’re heading to Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls, here is a Pro Tip: Park in “The Union” garage—they validate! Just take the elevator to P2 and walk out to the restaurant level. The courtyard is beautiful with lots of lush greenery, and Mason’s is easy to spot with great indoor and outdoor seating.
The staff here is fantastic—very knowledgeable and ready with recommendations. I went with the Connecticut Roll (served warm with butter), and the presentation was superb.
The roll itself was warm and fluffy, but the star was the lobster: huge, buttery chunks in every single bite. It was delicious from start to finish. I’ll definitely be back!

Really good and fresh tasting! The lobster roll was buttery and and had such a good flavor. We got it Connecticut style! The crab roll warm was also packed with flavor they used old bay as a seasoning freaking legit! And the clam chowder was tasty! Got the lobster dip it was eh not my favorite but also I was full so the flavor wasn’t enough to carry it home. I think the pita chips took away from the dip but idk.

Famous for a Reason
Quality jumps out and grabs your imagination. . .
“It was a cold salty day on the reefs, pulling cages from rocky points.
Lobsters.
The idea was to catch Lobsters.lots of lobsters.
No one knows why these creatures flourish along the coasts of New England.
Especially Maine.
But they florish and they’re famous.
Mason was a second generation fisherman, he knew these waters.
One day Mason came to shore, started a fire and melted fresh snow in a pot. He plunged his catch in the pot when a girl happened to walk by. She was a lovely foreigner whom seemed fascinated by these sights, sounds, and smells.
He shared his catch with her but she was leaving, this was her last day on her tour.
As she left, she said why don’t you open shops in places like Uptown Dallas. It’ll be famous.
One day, I may find you and we can, who knows. . .”

Mason’s offers delicious lobster and crab dishes. I had the crab salad and my partner had the Connecticut lobster roll. Both were extremely fresh and tasty. The bread on the roll was incredibly soft and yummy. There was an excellent amount of crab on the salad as well. I would recommend and would go back!

I dined at Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls for lunch today, and I really enjoyed it! I ordered the Connecticut roll along with the tater tots. The lobster was so fresh and was topped with butter! I also liked that the roll was warm. I would definitely recommend this place! Service was fast, and there was plenty of seating available! It is located within a nice restaurant complex that I come to frequently! I will definitely be back!

I went there today for lunch and was delighted that the lobster rolls were actually BETTER than the lobster rolls I had last Summer in Cape Cod and Maine. I tried the classic roll first (pictured) and second got the Bar Harbor roll with extra lobster (was my favorite!). Delicious juicy real lobster meat, not imposter langoustine meat that some places try to pass off as lobster. 10/10 RECOMMEND!

My friends and I randomly decided to try Mason’s Famous Lobster Roll, and I’m so glad we did. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth it.
We ordered the Bar Harbor lobster roll, which comes with 50% more lobster meat, and it did not disappoint. The lobster was perfectly cooked, buttery, and packed with flavor. We even used some of the extra lobster to add into the lobster bisque, which took it to the next level rich, comforting, and delicious.
From the food quality to the overall experience, everything was on point. This spot is definitely going on my “must-return” list, and I’ll be recommending it to everyone.
