The golf practice facility is outstanding, boasting two bays and a dedicated putting practice area. The service provided was exceptional, as was the quality of the food and the cost. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the facility. I am compelled to work on my game when the weather is unfavorable outside. I highly recommend this facility.

Went for a birthday party with a friend. We did the bowling. The service was phenomenal. Even in the bowling alley. The food was exceptional. Well appetizers were exceptional. Then we went into the dining area. Everything very well done. All of the food was perfect. I will give one warning. Their sides are portion to be shared with at least three people. They are massive! They’re roasted brussel sprouts are some of the best I’ve had!

Good food, came out hot and quick. Well seasoned, kids got chicken wings we shared a few appetizers. I enjoyed the tuna nachos, and sliders. Played a game of mini golf, kids asked if we could go every week!! Fun for the whole family.

Food options are good, green tomatoes appetizer was delicious! Very large dining area and it was really busy and alot of noise! We waited about 30 mins for a table. We didn’t play any of the games – The cost was a factor in that decision for 2 people. But I understand it cost money to run a big place like that! The one thing that bothered me the most was the noise level in dining area. They were packed and noise level was really up but you could talk. Overall it was a good experience. We would go back.

One of Gainesville’s best eatery additions and a breath of fresh air!

I’ve been in Gainesville for over 25 years. The space is large and inviting., clean and well-appointed. The bar is amply sized and well attended with four bartenders on a busy night (a rare find on both points). The cocktail menu has unique concoctions to suit every mood or taste. Beer and wine menu with lots of great choices and local brews.

Seating/temperature are comfortable and staff are spectacular—always friendly, always moving. The mood is black casual bustling and it’s never hard to find someone to help you.

Lighting in the booths and bar are great but the high tops could be better as the low contrast menus make it hard to see. Lamps at those tables would be extremely helpful. Menus (just plain paper) are starting to see a little wear but hopefully those will be upgraded soon. I do wish there was something to absorb the sound because especially when seated on the high tops in a relatively full restaurant, it can be quite challenging to engage in a lively conversation even without the band playing. I did measure the decibels and it consistently hit 89-92 which is pretty high. The rafters and walls are fairly bare so something there I think would help.

Menu is a mix of easy and upscale bar and modern American so there’s something for everyone. Everything we’ve tried in the several visits we’ve made has been delicious and we’ve never left unhappy or dissatisfied. Fish and meats were always expertly cooked (not always easy with a filet or fried chicken)—a few more lighter (poultry/seafood) warm entree items and maybe shrimp somewhere would be great. Salad selections are delicious with the option to add chicken, salmon or beef—so that’s an option but sometimes you just want something warm for supper. Maybe salmon or shrimp for the salmon bowl?Vegetables were fresh and plates arrived fairly timely. When we first visited in December that wasn’t always the case but it’s very much improved. All entrees were wonderfully plated.

Dessertwise, best thing is the hot iron skilletchocolate chip cookie with ice cream and which only comes out on special occasions unfortunately. The chocolate cake was dense and dry and the ganache frosting was the same. Maybe a large shareable iron skillet cookie instead?

And there are tons of games to play too—duckpin bowling, mini golf. A treat for all!

A great place for a couple’s date or a family get-together or an after work outing. When you go, it does feel like Happy Hour!

Overall, a fantastic place where you can tell they put a lot of thought into their customer experience and really work hard to make it an excellent one! Thank you Decoy!

Bowling $60 for an hr and mini golf $13ish per person was fun tho!! Food was yummy. We got the pepe balls, bbq sandwich, and tenders. Yummy. The parking lot at the place you have to pay to park as it is not decoys parking lot is $8. So just go park in one of the parking decks. Sunday is hit or miss if they are busy bar tender said. Was pretty dead when we went from 4-6ish today on a Sunday.

Decoy in Gainesville is an absolute gem! We absolutely LOVE their appetizer options, and it’s become our go-to place to order a variety of them to share. Each dish is bursting with flavor and creativity, making it impossible to choose just one!

One standout is the MC Caesar salad, it’s amazing! The generous amount of freshly grated cheese on top elevates it to a whole new level. It’s the perfect blend of crisp romaine, tangy dressing, and cheesy goodness that has us coming back for more.

The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for a place to indulge in delicious appetizers and enjoy a great dining experience, Decoy is a must-visit! Can’t wait to go back!

The food is good and the $10 lunch menu is nice but there are a few key things that would make it a better experience. I was there for a business lunch and we needed WiFi but it wasn’t available. The bathrooms are coed which is not very pleasant to have to put the seat down as a woman. Once we paid we didn’t see our server again. Had to try to meet with dirty dishes still on the table.

I met my sisters here for lunch on black Friday, and it wasn’t very busy. I hadn’t realized it was a games place, kind of like Dave and Busters. I was surprised they picked it, but apparently the onion rings were worth it to them. The menu is very limited, and the mixed drinks we had were too sweet, except for the margaritas. If I had kids, I might return, but my son is an adult living on his own, so I doubt I’ll be back. Great place for kids, teens, and young adults, but if you’re looking for food and drinks, I’d go somewhere else.

Overall I had a good time. The apps were all really tasty but the main menu was small. My salad was good but nothing amazing. The putt putt was ok, same with bowling. We were there for a Christmas lunch and I am sure in a Saturday night with a different atmosphere it would be better. It is also pretty expensive. $60 an hour for the virtual game bays or bowling.
