The food was delicious and well seasoned. The fries could have been a little more fresh; they were just warm. I liked that you had the option to customize your meal by adding substitutions that were free, or you had to pay a small price. The food was ready at the designated time for pickup. Overall, this was not a bad experience.

The food, comparatively speaking to other fast food franchises, is quite good.
Probably due to the timeframe, which was an hour before closing, they were a bit slow to provide our food.
This was also probably due to the fact that there was low traffic, low customer traffic, via the drive-through and inside customers.
Regardless of those factors, the food was quite flavorful and tasteful.
Oh, and their Cheese Curds were amazing!

Be aware that the bugers and fries are heavily seasoned with MSG, It is not listed among the allergens. If you have MSG sensitivity, you have to ask for “no seasoning” on both burgers and fries and mention MSG specifically. Order taker had the personality of Eeyore.
(after response from owner) Wow!! Way to be dismissive of another person’s dietary restrictions!!!! It’s not that it wasn’t “to my liking” as you say. it actually tasted good. That’s not the issue. I have a severe reaction after consuming MSG. I am lowering my rating now down to 1 star because of the total lack of empathy from the corporate response! Also, checked online for a full list of allergens and dietary restrictions. It listed the burger I ate as “no”, and fries as a “no” for MSG, which is contrary to what the manager on duty (and my body) told me.

Oh my God. Best food of the 2026 year period! Honestly, this food was phenomenal. I’m speechless and in genuine bliss and happiness right now I have never had a better burger, the flat patties and a juicy puffy buns. oh! And don’t even get me started on the dirt and worms Sundays. My only critique is there’s not enough dirt for the worms to be ha ha ha!!!!!! I mean my goodness a place couldn’t any better. I feel like I’m at a burger joint in the1900s again with my gals after the Friday night football game! This place is absolutely stunning in all aspects and don’t even get me started on the workers. They are so nice like oh my God how nice could one workplace be everybody loves our job I’d be lucky if I could have a job here absolutely amazing five stars.!!!!

Very friendly staff and good food. Took a star off because I don’t care for such things fries. Hard to handle and scoop enough ketchup. Would recommend this place. I never received my purchase points in the app from my app order either! Never had this issue with BK for McDonalds.

Fast, hot, and exactly what we ordered. Freddy’s has a unique style of fry and burger that my wife really enjoys. I liked it too and appreciated how neatly packed our drive through bag was. Kinda pricey, but everything seems to be right now.

I’ve been to this Freddy’s a few times and the service and quality of food is very inconsistent. Last week I stopped and the food was great It was fresh and I enjoyed it. Then today we decided to have the food delivered to us and my cheese curds were so disgustingly greasy that it actually made me sick to eat it. And to be honest the cheese curds is the number one reason I like to go to Freddy’s but I think I’m turned off a cheese curds for a while. In addition to the ridiculous amount of grease there were several burnt chunks of old onion rings tossed in with my cheese curds. I understand that the grease is shared to make different items but for someone like me who absolutely despises onions it was not pleasant and most importantly was the fact that they were burnt and hard as a rock. I’m just glad that I was looking at what I was eating and not driving and just sticking my hand in the bag.
And I will say never once have I had good customer service at that location. Very unfriendly like it’s an inconvenience that I am stopping and having them work. A smile and a thank you goes a long way guys!

Was “informed” that kids meals are for kids, and that adults should not be ordering off the kids menu… with three kids in the back of my car. Woman working the window made sure to let me know every time she opened the window that we can’t order off the kids menu unless we’re 12 and under — as I have three under five in the back of my car. I don’t care if the kids menu is for kids, I will order off of it until I’m 65 years old if I don’t want the adult portion that she insisted “is the same size.” Why would I order something the “same size” for double the money?
Also wouldn’t be surprised if she picked our food up off the ground with how cold and stale it seemed.

We had such a weird experience at the drive thru.
We ordered two meals with drinks and one concrete mixer ice cream thing. We were given our drinks and ice cream, and then the attendant who was very friendly and nice said, “Have a good night!” and shut the window without giving us any of our food. She walked away presumably to do other tasks, but at least three other workers walked by making eye contact with us but would not come to the window. There was a vehicle behind us the entire time that ordered at the same time as us as well. After ten minutes, she came back to ask if we needed something- UM YEAH! OUR FOOD! The worker was very apologetic, not realizing but the entire interaction made us incredibly late for something terribly important. Were they just not going to serve anyone in the drive thru anymore? They were just taking orders but not serving? It was so weird. The food was good, but with SO many food options in Waukee, we will hit other Freddy’s locations and skip this one when in town.

The chain in general is great, this particular store has awful service and can make some pretty awful meals. Workers constantly forget items, act is if you don’t exist when trying to order, never any sauce or straws in the bags, and cold food is not uncommon. Something needs to be done here
