Great spot for pre, post or picnic goods before mountain biking or hiking in Dupont. The vibe is awesome and the people are too!

☕️ Cool atmosphere and the employees were very nice. My Americano was delicious, and the breakfast burrito was pretty good, too.

A few negative reviews notwithstanding, we found our experience here enjoyable. The service was friendly, and the wait for our food was not too long. We had pizza, and enjoyed it very much.
There was live music outside, so we ate inside, as the genre wasn’t our favorite. I add that because we were able to carry on a conversation inside while others enjoyed the music outside. It’s probably not always that way….
If you’re looking for an out of the way place, we recommend it.

On the way back home from hiking Triple Falls/High Falls, my boyfriend and I stopped by for gas but decided to take a look inside to see. And it was not what we were expecting! In the middle of a small mountainside town, was the cutest store with everything you need! Coffee, sandwiches, pastries, pizza, beer, clothes, etc. The employees were so polite even though we came in close to closing time (we didn’t know) and gave us great service. We got sandwiches and soup which was so good after a long day of hiking. And their blueberry pie was amazing! I also got the softest t-shirt there. They even seem to have many events like music and yoga throughout the month which is awesome! I know next time I am in the area I will be here!

Cedar Mountain Outpost has become an absolute regular and highly anticipated stop for us whenever we are visiting DuPont State Forest. It seamlessly blends great food and a fantastic beverage selection with a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.
They clearly prioritize quality, offering a great selection of both food and craft beer. I especially appreciate that they carry an equally great selection of non-alcoholic (NA) beers, which is a huge plus for those looking for a flavorful, zero-proof option.
The seating area is fantastic—it’s comfortable, well-designed, and makes for a perfect place to relax and unwind after a day on the trails. Beyond the excellent amenities, the staff is always friendly and genuinely helpful, which consistently makes for a positive experience.
This spot is perfectly situated and always delivers. It’s more than just a quick stop; it’s a destination. Highly recommended to anyone passing through or spending time in the area!

What a fabulous stop on an impromptu Sunday afternoon adventure. Great food! We shared a ham & cheese croissant (excellent) & a Cuban sandwich (even better!). The chocolate chip pecan pie, that we brought home was awesome! Cedar Mountain Outpost outstanding staff helped to make a great afternoon even better!

Super warm and cozy beer garden nestled out in cedar mountain. Good pizza. Nice selection of beer and wine, also small selection of snacks, grocery items, and pre-made food. Also the only place around to get gas for awhile. Fill up the gas tank or fill up on some nice local brews.

Wow…great place to stop for breakfast, lunch, coffee, etc. Great location on the way to Brevard on 276 across from the Sherwood golf course. My son and I ran up to Caesars Head and stopped here for lunch before going to High Falls. We tried the breakfast burrito and the Chicken pesto sandwich. We also tried a couple specialty coffees. Can’t wait to get back to this area and will certainly visit here again and again.

This is our go to spot in the morning for coffee and a treat. My wife typically goes with the bee sting coffee. Steve-O typically sets me up with an ice mocha.
If you see a young guy with a mustache behind the coffee bar, you’re going to have a good day. Sonny is the mixologist for the coffee bar. Don’t let his young looks fool you!!! Want to give an honorable mention to Heidi.. Our all-time favorite treat is the pop tarts. Probably our biggest complaint that they don’t have pop tarts every day when we come in. 🙂 Love the curry chicken salad with arugula. Perfect blend of protein and veggies. In the evening or early afternoon it is a great place to drop in for a brew or wine. By the way, they A huge selection of beer and wine, they sell wine by the bottle too..Can’t say enough about how well Christian the CEO runs the CMO (Cedar Mountain Outpost)
Also perfect for Dupont hikers and bikers to do a grab and go breakfast or lunch or post or hike

DOUBLE CHECK THEIR HOURS, BUT I THINK THEY’RE OPEN SEVEN DAYS A WEEK, WHICH IS A RARITY IN THIS NEW POST COVID WORLD.
