I’ve been coming here since they opened in 2007, and it’s still one of my favorite spots for Thai food in Northbrook. Every dish is freshly made to order.
It’s a true family owned restaurant and they’ve lived in Northbrook since opening. You’re always greeted by a friendly face from the family when you walk in. The menu is made by the family’s mother, a Thai chef who brings real Thai flavors and tradition to every dish.

Haven’t been to Simply Thai in years but it was always my go to back in the day. Last week I flew back and had to stop by. I got the Chicken Drunken Noodles and it tasted exactly how I remembered

I like ordering here for a quick lunch and the food are guaranteed fresh! The staff are very friendly. It’s a small restaurant more like for pick up and deliveries but they have a long table and chairs if you want to dine in. I like thai food and it’s convenient that they’re walking distance from my home.

Start with a positive: lady at the counter was helpful on menu selections but forgot to mention prices don’t match paper menu or those on the board – no explanation but just charged more than advertised. Asked for extra spicy Drunken noodles with Chicken and received blend food with under cooked chicken. You see the spices they threw on top. Very disappointed!
UPDATE: After owner response, I am even more convinced not to every visit this place. Using 12 years old menu and NOT informing customers of price change goes beyond just bad experience, it is just business in bad faith. Invest in updated menu OR train your staff in communicating the right price BEFORE charging! Oh, while you are at it, look into food preparation as well as owner did not even acknowledge the food issue.

Ohhh I almost don’t want to tell anyone bought this Northbrook gem. Food is excellent and quick. I discovered this place bought a yr ago and eat here probably 2-3 times a week.
They always throw in extra fried garlic, we gotta get there secret on that. I have celiac so eating out is always a challenge and it’s nice that I never have a problem here.
Low calorie dishes available، I lost 20 lbs eating here in one summer.
The service is impeccable, with narcissts and Karen’s spawning everywhere, so nice to deal with polite, attentive and cheerful service!
Now the secret is out, enjoy!

Bought 3 orders of Mango Sticky rice today and it was a disappointment!!! Sticky rice is nothing but dry rice!!! Mango so sour not ripe!!! And didn’t give any coconut milk that normally comes with it!!! Do not buy here..not authentic Thai food!!!
