If you’re looking for a place that instantly makes you feel welcome, The Bar Station on 6th is it. The cozy atmosphere inside hits just right—warm, comfortable, and full of good energy. It’s the kind of spot where you can actually relax, strike up a conversation, and feel at home the moment you walk in.
As a first responder, the vibes here really stand out. There’s a strong sense of respect and camaraderie, and it’s clear this is a place that genuinely supports its community. The fact that teachers and first responders receive a discount on drinks speaks volumes and makes you want to keep coming back.
The weekly kitchen specials are another huge win, but Taco Tuesday is hands down my favorite. Great flavor, great portions, and the perfect excuse to make it a weekly tradition.
Between the welcoming atmosphere, community support, solid food specials, and all-around good vibes, The Bar Station on 6th easily earns five stars. Highly recommend—especially if you’re a teacher, first responder, or just someone looking for a laid-back spot with heart.

We didn’t have the best experience trying to enjoy a few drinks here. My friends and I were unfortunately overlooked by the bartender(s) for several minutes, and the overall vibe felt a bit unwelcoming. It might be a great spot for some, but it didn’t quite hit the mark for us and we had to walk to another place.
