I decided to choose carry out for my order. (1) grandma pie and an order of (2) Nutella cannoli.
For the record, this pizzeria (Lupo) in general, is great. I have been to the one in Long Branch. Since this location in Fair Haven was closer to home with this time around, I decided to order here.
The grandma pie is definitely what it is and a great size. I love how fresh it looks and the crisp showing on the outer portions of the crust. Instantly taking the first bite, it was EXTREMELY salty. My emphasis on that is intentional because it should not have been that salty. It was almost unbearable to keep consuming. Comparing this one, to the one ordered in Long Branch was night and day. Same exact pizza but different results. I am not sure if this location tasted their sauce after making it but they should have. I hope no one else experienced that. My wife and I were both in agreement to this pizza being salty to the point of not finishing it. But as I said, the same pizza in Long Branch was so good that I’ve gone back to that location. Just not sure what was up here?
The Nutella Cannoli sounded amazing, so did an order for my wife and I. To much of my surprise, it was missing everything related to Nutella. These were just straight normal Cannoli. I mean, they were excellent but, they missed the entire purpose of Nutella being added.
Cool pizza box for Halloween/Fall.
I would give this location another chance and maybe it was an off night for them.

Terrible, terrible pizza. Ordered a Detroit and garlic knots, both were so bland and tough I literally couldn’t chew them. Absolutely flavorless, like eating shoe-leather. The Detroit was tiny, like a personal pizza. I could not find any cheese on it at all, just what was charred around the edges. The knots were reheated with the plastic sauce cup in the pan, so the plastic melted into the sauce – disgusting. Wouldn’t come back here if it was the last “pizza” place on earth. Maybe their regular pies are good, I’ll never know, but the Detroits make me beg for frozen pizza. I know why this place is rated 2.9 stars on Yelp. On a side note, the menu says “Detroit Pie – Mozzarella, tomato sauce, add any topping” which I thought meant a topping was included, a nice gesture. Then the guy behind the counter said “Sure you can add any topping, but for $4” and agreed everyone gets misled by the wording. How deceiving!

Have something other than pizza for a change! There is more to Italian cuisine than pie and pasta. No need to expand beyond your beltline for flavor! Order outside of your typical items and be amazed. Their pizza is really good (I prefer thinner crust round, some like the Sicilian big square). Their other dishes and sandwiches are tasty also. Warm vegetable dishes with greens and beans are mild and flavorful. Potatoes and peppers with garlic are simple and savory. I appreciate that their food is not like eating a salt-lick as many other dining establishments these days which seem bent on raising blood pressure via killing flavor at the same time. Their sausage, pepper and onion sandwich is great also. Their gravy tastes familiar, very family almost like our grandparents shared recipes?

Love this place! It’s clean and cozy casual place. The customer service is nice and friendly. They have good variety of pizza. If you want gluten free or cauliflower pizza, you can get them here! Medium size pizza worth the price. I like thin crust pizza. Grandma pizza and margarita pizza are both great! We ordered medium size fig burrata pizza for two people though that would be good for half size because it was difficult for us to keep eating sweet taste but if you share different pizza with more people, it would be good!

The meat Detroit slice is next level, the place is clean and well run. Jared was super friendly and just seemed like he loves working for the place. As a business owner, this is one of the most important things when owning a good business, happy employees = happy customers. Keep killing it and I will definitely be back.

I’m a Detroiter and stopped here for lunch recently for a slice of their Detroit style pan pizza. It was right on and reminded me of Primo’s, which is a suburban Michigan favorite.
This is a great spot and they know what they’re doing.

Great pizza. Great value compared to other local places that just charge to much. Two slices for under $8

I’m a huge fan of Lupo. This is their original location and honestly I recommend this place if you want something good. Their plain and specialty pizzas are awesome. The calzones are worth buying. And anyone who works there knows that the food is good. Go there, it’s honestly worth the drive

Perfect place to eat outside with kids. We were with our friends for an after playdate dinner. We placed our orders and paid inside. They served our food outside. I had the arugula salad which was fresh and delicious and my daughter wanted a meatball sub but it was a meatball on a ciabatta bread which I thought was good but she wanted more of an authentic sub with Italian bread. The kids shared pizza, the meatball sandwich, and chicken fingers. Our friends had the beet salad, and eggplant sandwich which looked great. Everything was good and was nice to eat outside. The kids loved dancing to the music while eating. Would go back here again. If I could give it 4.5 out of 5, I would.
