The chicken katsu curry has become my new favorite comfort meal — it is so cozy and delicious, and I can’t wait to eat it on many a cold evening this fall and winter. Please everyone go here, so they stay in business a long, long time and I can keep eating their food
Wanted to eat more but couldn’t
Very fulfilling
Service was quick and the people serving us were lovely, awesome ramen bar
Definitely coming back
We sat at the bar and watched the staff make the food. They were very nice and worked hard to get the food out quickly. All the food was great and served piping hot. The soups were really tasty, the buns were perfectly fluffy, and I particularly enjoyed all the sides!
My only critique is they’re using and discarding a lot of plastic. Hopefully they will change to reusable bowls and provide recycling containers for soda cans at least.
The staff and the owner are exceptionally warm and welcoming. I will absolutely be coming back—for this bowl of Tonkotsu ramen alone.
I had questions about the menu and needed to ask for the chef because her answer was “she didn’t know” but she made no effort to go and find out. A smile goes a long way. You’re working for a restaurant.
Now onto the food, the portion size is very small. I ordered a side of kimchi and was disappointed to see it was store bought and with what they charge, you can just stop at the store and buy your own Kimchi. It will be cheaper. The potstickers or dumplings were also very tiny. It was a mini size and didn’t match the price. I actually have a bag of those in my freezer, I could have just sauteed some.
I ordered the Korean Carbonera pasta/ramen and it didn’t have a lot of flavor so then I was even more disappointed. I felt like I was eating plain noodles I am not sure if the liquid sauce maybe absorbed all the seasoning or not. I did enjoy the chicken that came with the dish and I wish there was more. I’m giving a 3 star because the restaurant was clean and the chef was nice. My husband ordered spicy ramen and he said it was good but not the best he’s had. He also mentioned that the portion was small as well.
To complete the japan experience most to other customers haven’t been in Japan . The owner and the girl at the counter was so kind and friendly. Highly recommended.
