Located in the lower level of the historic Elks Building at the corner of Hyman and Galena, Silver City has a casual and comfortable feel with a decor that is equal parts wild west and modern. We offer a wide selection of whiskey, tequila and craft cocktails plus frequent live music on our stage.
Cocktails & lots of bourbons, tequilas & gins poured amid weathered-wood decor, plus live music.

Silver City’s about the sorriest joint you’ll find in Aspen. That place reeks of mean-spirited, small-town ugliness, and they sure don’t roll out the welcome wagon for Hispanics or Latinos. The bouncers act like hired guns with bad tempers — shovin’, jawin’, and tossin’ out insults at folks who ain’t from around their neck of the woods.
It’s a low-down watering hole, and I wouldn’t tip my hat to it, let alone recommend it. They show no respect to people of color, and they treat Mexicans and Central Americans like they don’t belong on the same side of the street. Drinks? Might as well be rainwater in a fancy glass — watered down and priced like gold dust. Highway robbery, plain and simple.
Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Silver City. I’m from California, and I’ve ridden through plenty of rough towns, but I’ve never been treated as poorly as we were in that rundown saloon.

It’s Thanksgiving Eve, so I understand the place was busy, but the way I was treated by the dark-haired bartender with the mustache was unbelievable.
While he was serving the woman next to me, I politely said, “I would like to be next, please.” I thought he replied, “You have to raise your hand,” since it was loud—so I did exactly that.
When he came over, he approached me with clear annoyance and spoke to me in an extremely rude manner, then refused to serve me. After serving the next guest he came back and asked what I wanted, still with an attitude. At that point, I decided to leave.
I’ve never been treated like this in any restaurant or bar. Truly disappointing experience.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this place. Everyone was waiting in the freezing cold for so long, only to see people blatantly cutting the line. What’s worse, I witnessed the security guard letting people in who appeared to give him money. As someone from NYC, I know how things usually work, but this was completely unacceptable.
The security guard was also extremely rude, aggressively trying to push people off the sidewalk. which, as far as I know, is public property. It’s one thing to manage a crowd, but the behavior I saw was unprofessional and borderline disrespectful.
Next time, if I come back, it’ll be to pursue legal action for violations of my rights. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, and the management needs to take accountability.

Came for a rugby tournament event so can’t say much about food as there were only drinks. However the bartenders were great at keeping up with a packed bar and still being friendly. Had a good band and overall we had a good time that night.

Definitely a vibe. Quite tasteful for what it is, just not my particular cup of tea. Was here for an event. Clean, high quality food/drink. If you’re into that, you’ll probably like it. Very “country” / mining themed, obviously.

I came from another city to visit and enjoy it with my friends. After this terrible experience, I will probably never come back. I have experience with bars in many places and have never had any issues. However, here, I waited in line for an hour, and when I got to the front, the security guard was already rude to us. After waiting for an hour, we noticed that people cutting in line were getting in before us, and the security guard did absolutely nothing about it. I do not recommend a place that has no respect for people, employs someone who allows others to cut the line, and is extremely rude to customers. I definitely do not recommend it!

We have left a review and complaint emailed with the GM. Who verified he was there when we possibly had our rights violated and we feel that the staff assaulted us with a very bright flashlight several times blinding us temporarily shined several times into our eyes, when we were attempting to take pictures of what was happening to us. We were enjoying a beautiful time and told we had to leave our table immediately that someone else bought it?? after actually setting there for an hour and half and spending money in this establishment we were rudely told to leave. The staff first told us that they had dinner reservations for our table? but none was eating in the entire place ? and I questioned if they even serve dinner? No they don’t. So that’s when it got nasty with rude staff so when I started taking pictures of what was happening we were escorted out & assaulted with extremely bright flash lights shined directly into our eyes, temporarily blinding us several times. We are extremely upset with this establishment and feel discriminated on with our age of 60 as most the customers were 30 ish . The table we had was not reserved no reserved signs and wide open when we sat down for an hour and half before being rudely told to leave and assaulted escorted to the elevator out. We loved the place until this happened. We would never go back after this treatment and if you are 30.. spend your money in a place that treats people with respect. Aspen has so many beautiful places and everyone should be treated the same and with kindness and love.

Perhaps the only spot in Aspen with a pool table. Live music occasionally, karaoke, and a lot less Aspen fancy (not many of those left). Great underground spot with an old school jukebox. They allow minors before 8:30-9 usually if you wanna play pool.

Good spot for a drink and a game of pool! Just get control of the jukebox before it goes country… Lots of TVs and comfy seating, with good quick food available.
