Chicken sandwich was delicious! Very tender, full of flavor! Escargots were yummy and French onion soup was rich and savory. Service was excellent. Very attentive and friendly Nice atmosphere too. The food took a long time to come out but I guess they need to savor the flavors.

We had an amazing experience at Galinette. We ordered the beef tartare, jambon beurre, frites, and coffee. The tartare was fresh and full of flavor, and the jambon beurre was outstanding with tender, delicious pork. The coffee was different than what my mom was used to with its more floral notes, but the food really stood out and made the meal special.

Our server Carl was warm, attentive, and kind. He explained each dish and made the experience fun and welcoming. I loved that we never felt rushed, which to me is the heart of French dining, taking time to savor each bite.

The space is beautiful with open seating, walls of wine, the French flag outside, and unique mural art throughout. Galinette captures the spirit of French food and culture, and I will definitely be doing what I can to spread the good word. The owners built a gem to the city. Thanks!

Wonderful stop for lunch, and decided quickly to cancel the rest of the afternoon, split a bottle wine (fun selection), have apps, entrees, and dessert, and slow down and enjoy.

Never was rushed, had great service, enjoyable conversations with the team, and went back the next day.

Ordered 5 burgers, every single one of them was raw to the point of moo-ing. They refunded our money, but we were still left trying to figure out dinner for our family. Absolutely disgusting.

This place was great!

Our waitress was so sweet and knowledgeable, she highly recommended the peach burrata with balsamic glaze and prosciutto bits and it seriously did not disappoint. The peach was super fresh and all the flavors melded really well.

Steak frites were also yummy! They gave ketchup and garlic aioli. Perfect.

French onion soup was of solid quality, a very appropriate option for a cool November afternoon. The salmon was cooked to perfection: juicy and flavorful. The chocolate dessert tasted very good. The staff was very attentive and helpful, the light pacific vibe of the place helped me relax. The place does deserve its title of the local gem. Don’t forget to put on a jacket or a vest: it’s Outer Sunset’s weather outside, after all.

Great food and service at reasonable prices. Unpretentious atmosphere. Dog friendly outdoor seating available. Steak and frites was awesome. We will be back for sure

Appetizers were good: both chicken liver mouse and brandade. Bourride was just ok. Not very hearty. Fennel in it was completely inedible. Heirloom tomato salad with some kind of ham was good.

We came here for dinner, hoping to have some great authentic French foods for my husband who is from Lyon and craves good French foods time to time. However, our experience was sadly subpar.

We ordered Bourride, Mussel marinière and bone marrow. The mussel was not authentic, it didn’t come with even bread or French fries so had to pay extra for French fries.

Bourride had lack of flavor, bland and the amount of seafood was skimpy. My husband had to add mustard in the broth. Bone marrow was also not impressive.

While our server was attentive, it took pretty long time for the foods to come out.

Overall, we were disappointed by overall experience and likely not come back .

I’ve been here twice.

Food: The food was fantastic both times (for me), but you have to be open to different kinds of palates, which really isn’t for everyone.

Service: The service mid-afternoon on a Saturday was awful. I don’t know if patrons usually like being left alone but the server barely came around, and it seemed like our requests were bothering her when all we were asking for was more water and what we ordered.

Atmosphere: parking is nearly impossible to find. For outdoor seating, the street cars are too loud and inside the kitchen is loud and tables are snug together. Some may call it a cozy vibe but I felt uncomfortable. For the amount I’m spending on food, I expect better from the experience.
