My fave place to eat! I come regularly to eat at the wonderful Pane & Gusto, either on my own or with friends/family and every single time the food is outstanding. My favourites have been those pictured! The pear burger is honestly the best burger I have ever tried in my life so juicy, the flavours all work together beautifully, like a party in your mouth. This burger is new and part of the Christmas menu. The regular burger is juicy and flavoursome also. The pumpkin pizza is divine. On top of all of these incredible flavours, the service is second to none and I can take my laptop and get some work done too. The atmosphere is so friendly I’m totally comfortable doing this. This is another review that I really can’t believe has taken me this long. Soon after discovering The Clarence we had our first experience of the food from Pane & Gusto, we were immediate fans of the food itself, and the wonderful people who make it.
This is Italian cuisine of the highest order, none of this chain Italian restaurant nonsense, this is the real deal. You can literally taste that all of the food is made with passion and love and a desire to make everything a real culinary experience.
My partner absolutely loves their charcuterie and cheese board, she gets it most times we visit and I often have plate envy. I’ve tried their pizzas, panini’s and their burgers, all are top notch, I think I might be a little addicted to their various varieties of burger, I’ve started dreaming about them!
The quality of the Italian bread that is freshly made for each dish is what really sets Pane & Gusto apart from the rest, it’s absolutely glorious, tasty, light and always consistently brilliant. It makes their burger better than any I have tried because it transforms it from just meat delivery method into a real eating experience.
We were also recommended the supplí as an alternative to fries and we have ordered them every time since, they are like little rice and veg balls of joy and we are glad to have them in our lives. Basically, everything they make is ridiculously good, I just want to work my way through their whole menu!
This level of culinary brilliance would be impossible without the glorious Viv and Flavio there to put their mark on every single item made. Not only are they both geniuses, they are also two of the most wonderful people you are ever likely to meet. It’s always such a pleasure to spend time with them when we visit, and they are always happy to give advice and run through the menu options with you.
So next time you go to the Clarence, get one or three of their brilliant cocktails and then order some of the best Italian food you are ever likely to eat from Pane & Gusto, you won’t regret it, and you will be back for more.

Pano e Gusto is absolutely incredible. The food is delicious, hearty Italian cuisine with fantastic service. We can’t get enough and have now been 3 weekends in a row. You have to come and try the amazing food which is unbelievable value ❤️

We really enjoyed the delicious food and will return next time we are passing by Hinckley. However as non-locals we made the mistake of arriving on a Thursday – and the place was teeming with kids who were there for a themed party – apparently this is a regular thing every second Thursday (or something like that). We didn’t realise until after we’d gotten a table – we mistakenly thought that a birthday party was taking place in one corner of the venue. This was obviously great fun for the kids, but the very loud volume of the party music was played, together with the noise the kids were making made the environment physically uncomfortable and while the kids were engaged in various activities throughout the restaurant, a couple of times they were stood right up against our table and it was a little annoying. Food here is wonderful but I do just recommend having a look through the windows from outside to make sure there are no children’s parties going on, before you ask for a table.

WOW!!! As an Italian, it’s very difficult to find a place that serves proper pizza. Pane e Gusto has everything that makes me feel at home. From the moment we walked in, the friendly staff and authentic atmosphere stood out. They make real pizza with fresh, high-quality Italian ingredients. My kids devoured their pepperoni pizza and are already asking to go back. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the exceptional quality. They also do take out. I’ve found a gem in Hinckley and highly recommend everyone give it a try. 100% recommended!

Pane & Gusto in Hinckley is hands down the best Italian food in town! Every time I visit the team are so warm and welcoming. The food is absolutely delicious, with authentic Italian flavours made from fresh produce. I really appreciate the great vegetarian options too, which are just as tasty and thoughtfully prepared. Prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a true Italian dining experience.

True authentic hand stretched dough ( I know because I asked a lot of questions ) encouraged by the beautiful Aperol spritz we enjoyed photos do not do the experience justice .
No arguments about who’s picking up the takeaway . How a salad can become a taste sensation ☺️ … the way a Camembert is encased in bread and drizzled with the BEST sticky balsamic glaze and their signature made to order and tailored to you individual pizzas wow wow wow .
Far and away the BEST food I have ever tasted beautiful relaxed cafe bar mixture of clientele , anything seemed to go from a coffee at 10pm to some very interesting looking shots enjoyed by those dancing to the live music and seemingly having a great night (Saturday)
