Welcome to Jules, a new restaurant presented by Chef Shaun Doty and the culinary team at Barnsley Resort. Inspired by her travels, Jules welcomes you in for dinner, cocktails (or both), and sets the stage for pure enjoyment.
Here, you’re invited to gather, linger, and savor a journey through the seasons in a setting as warm and sophisticated as the food itself. Delight in abundance as Chef Doty brings together rustic Southern ingredients and timeless techniques with the bold simplicity of wood-fired cooking. The result? A menu that’s generous in spirit and rich in flavor.

Jule’s easily ranks in my top 3 restaurants I’ve tried around Atlanta.
Do yourself a favor and order the Japanese bun and the Rockefeller oysters — non-negotiable.
The bun is unbelievably soft, and the butter served with it is insanely flavorful. Now here’s the move: put the char-grilled oyster on top of the bun with that butter and take a bite.
It’s honestly better than oysters I’ve had in New York, and far better than anything I’ve tried in New Orleans.
We loved it so much that we ordered the same items three times.
The service was exceptional — genuinely warm, attentive, and polished. At one point, it honestly felt like dining at a Michelin three-star restaurant.
The only downside is that they’re open Thursday through Sunday only. I stayed from Monday to Thursday and only managed to get one visit in, which was extremely disappointing. Still, even though it’s about an hour and a half from Atlanta, I would absolutely come back again just for this meal.
Highly, highly recommended.

We dined at Jules tonight and had an amazing meal. We were greeted by Mika as soon as we arrived. She was so happy, warm and professional…we felt so welcomed right from the start and it set the mood for a great evening. Reeves was an excellent server. He was attentive but not intrusive. He made excellent suggestions that guided our choices. We started with the chargrilled oysters and Japanese mild bread. Both were excellent. Often, cooked oysters are overdone at a restaurant. These were plump, juicy and just right. We shared the duck as our entree. It was suggested by our golf cart ambassador as well as Reeves. Again, it was perfectly prepared and presented. We both enjoyed delicious cocktails from the craft cocktail bar. As we waited for the golf cart to pick us up, once again, Mika was the perfect hostess, chatting with us as we waited.
Jules is an amazing addition to the dining scene at Barnsley Resorts. Definitely give it a try if you are in the area.

Everything was just ok. We got there 15 mins early, they asked us to wait even though there were maybe 4 tables occupied at the time. Odd but no biggie. Bar service and drink was great. Table service was ok. She tried, just inexperienced. They have odd rules. You have to order all your courses at once. Fine but our entrees came out after a table sat after us was done eating theirs- they comped my drink as an apology. Kind gesture for sure. We ordered charbroiled oysters, quail, crab cakes, schnitzel, cream spinach, and beef tallow fries. Food was ok and typical but definitely not worth the prices. Fries were dry and felt stale, sent it back. Atmosphere is very dim and very loud. Overall, Buckhead prices for small town restaurant.

Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food!!! We ate dinner at Jules two nights in a row and had excellent service and amazing food and drinks both nights. Our servers, Jim and Drew were both very attentive and made great menu recommendations. The music paper bread (more like a salad) was divine, as were the oysters! We also had the trout, duck, and New York strip, and all were delicious. My husband says it was the best strip he has ever eaten. Our boys loved the Japanese milk bread. Chris, the bartender, was delightful to visit with as well, and made the best old fashioned! We can’t wait for our next visit to Barnsley and look forward to enjoying another meal at Jules!

My husband and I came to Jules to explore the new restaurant and see what Barnsley had to offer. As recent transplants from Atlanta to Calhoun, we miss our restaurant scene from the city. We were ecstatic to walk into this beautiful bar and dining room. The entire space is gorgeous aesthetically. What really did it in, was the service. Our experience at Jules was beyond refreshing and that’s all thanks to Reeves and Michael. The food was great but the people made it so much better. We will be back again very soon for date night and look forward to dining with them again.

Fabulous meal- the chef’s love and skill shows clearly in his food. We were greatly disappointed with Woodlands Grill at Barnsley Resort, but Jules is amazing. Great experience all around. Highly recommend the filet and schnitzel. Drinks were great too.

I decided since we were alone Christmas day to take my wife to a luxury brunch at Barnsley Gardens. I made prepaid reservations at Jules restaurant. Service was slow even though we were the 3rd couple seated. It started off with lukewarm coffee spilled all over the saucer. We thought the bread basket would be served with the coffee, but we asked 3 times and was assured it was coming. The the lobster bisque arrived cold and tasted terrible. My wife asked for hers to be reheated, before I could ask the same, the waiter was gone. Still no bread. We also noticed that table who arrive later than us were getting served before us. Then comes the Southern Breakfast consisting of a cold biscuit, bacon and what seemed like powdered scrambled eggs. Terrible service. Terrible food. I truly thought we were in for a treat, but Waffle House would have been a better choice. So disappointed. At $100 a plate, it should have been top shelf everything. I want my money back. Never again will go to Barnsley Gardens.

One of the best steaks I have ever eaten. Beats Little Alley steakhouse. Our waiter Drew was amazing. All of his recommendations were amazing. Highly recommend Jules!!

Excellent food (the “Bulldogs”, which are similar to “Buckeyes”, served at the end of the meal was such a treat), excellent service (Drew and Kris were awesome), and excellent ambiance. The perfect spot for date night, a celebration, or just because!

The Jules is an oasis for great drinks and food, we live in Cartersville and typically have to travel to Atlanta for authentic food & drinks. The Jules rises above any area we have visited, my advice is ASK FOR KRIS. For a true connoisseur of drink and food please meet Kris at the bar. Start your date with a couple of drinks and let the evening flow.
