I went to this restaurant because it was walking distance from hotel. It caught my eye that 4 tables had dirty dishes and no one was bothered to pick up as soon as customers left . I ordered tacos , they were ok but the table of 10 or more people had all those dirty dishes there during my stay there. The young man and young lady picked up two out the four tables . He used a rag to clean the raboes and saw him put that rag in a bucket without even washing it. If a restaurant is not clean how can you expect people to think food is clean .

Hands down, without a shadow of a doubt, my favorite Mexican food in NELA. You can’t go wrong with the elotes en vaso and guacamole for appetizers. The “street tacos” (called tacos junior) are flavorful and fresh. They offer several sauces with varying levels of heat, all of which are super tasty. The service was quick and the prices were acceptable too. The star of the show, however, was the charro beans that came with the tacos junior. I’m not sure I’ve ever had beans so flavorful anywhere! Try this place – you won’t regret it!

Wow! Have not had such awesome tasting tacos since my last visit back home to San Antonio!! The corn tortillas were the right size and thickness. The meat had a fantastic taste and beans were like abuela had made them!
The hot sauce was on spot! Spicy but not too spicy. This place is probably WM best kept secret…but that may soon change. Price wise maybe a few bucks more but then it’s not Taco Bell.
So do yourself a solid and get some tacos here. El Jefe will thank you and your stomach will love you for it!

Adam & Lana – The Crain’s
Margarita was way too sweet and had too much ice. Did not receive utensils or napkins when seated, had to ask. The server was a little busy eating her own dinner. Meat was bland in both the chimichanga and soft beef taco. Cheese dip was a little lumpy with unmelted cheese but good flavor. Salsa jug was only half full.
There are better tex Mex places around town, so we won’t be back.

Genuinely my favorite restaurant. This place is a hidden gem and deserves all the attention! The food is absolutely amazing, they have the BEST hot sauce I’ve ever tasted. The prices are criminally low for how good the taste and quality is. The staff is so kind and warm hearted, my food is always ready in 10 minutes or less. Best food ever!
