I’ve been here a few times over the years and have only ever gotten the Dole Whip (which is so good), but this time, I came for the Fish n Chips after hearing someone else say how good it was. It was good, but nothing to write home about. It seemed like a frozen piece of fish that was deep fried however, we had to wait 10 minutes for it so maybe not? I didn’t ask. I would get this again if I didn’t want to sit in a restaurant but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. Definitely go out of your way for a Dole Whip though! Right behind, there is a lovely little area with tables and chairs to sit and eat. They usually aren’t full which is nice.

Fish & Chips was pretty good! Service was quick, line moved fast. My wife also got the pineapple soft serve which was refreshing. There’s plenty of tables and chairs around the back side of the stand which was great for enjoying the sun with your meal!

I was there today 2/21 around 2 pm. The girl working the counter seemed so angry; even to the customers before me. I understand it’s hard to work with the public. However, her anger and attitude were so severe that I actually threw my dole float out because I was scared she was angry enough to tamper with it. It looked like it would be good. I felt bad for her and hope that whatever got her so upset will get better.

Wife and I each got a hot dog with everything but onions. The hotdogs were barely warm enough to eat and had onions on them. We scraped most of them off. They also forgot our chips which I had to go back to get. They were not busy at all at the time so that can’t be an excuse. There is a lot of food choices nearby, so do yourself a favor and choose a different place.

I would give this dole whip a 10 out of 5 if I could. I had it a few months ago while on a field trip. And again today! The chocolate strawberry twist is amazing! To have dairy free chocolate soft serve – there just aren’t words! It is so good that after 2 licks I am questioning if it’s possible that it is dairy free; it’s that good! Now, we just need one in my hometown so my sweet BFF could enjoy it!
And I would just like to emphasize that a large is truly large! It was my lunch.

Worst soft service ice cream I have ever had. Got the chocolate ice cream. It was super sweet, and did not even taste like chocolate. I am an ice cream lover, so it takes a lot for me to say, but I threw this away. Plus, the typical tip shaming, the kiosk asks for a tip, ridiculous.

This is one of my favorite places to get a cool treat. The people who work inside are always very nice and friendly. In fact they are great and add so much fun to our visit!
Pro tip: stop by City Gate Distillery, pick up some Pineapple Rum, then get a dole whip and add some rum to make a super delicious adult treat. It makes this nice little treat so yummy!

We were enjoying spring break in St. Augustine and wanted to try some of the restaurants and shops on George St. I read the reviews about this place and a lover of pineapples I thought I would give it a try. My nephew got the cotton candy dots (not sure of the name). I asked the cashier what’s the most popular, she said the pineapple float. I didn’t want that so I asked which was better the plain pineapple or the pineapple-vanilla swirl. She recommended the swirl. The flavor was really rich. The first taste was good but I got cloyed quickly. I would recommend the swirl if you’ve never had pineapple ice cream before as the vanilla adds a little balance to the tangy punch. If you are sharing it with someone then it probably will be the perfect amount without feeling cloyed. Try it you might enjoy it especially on a very hot summers day.
