WOW! What a wonderful little bar! Fantastic food, great drinks (5 star bloody Maria!) Large selection of beer. Wish we were closer, it would be a regular place for us! Went for lunch on a Saturday drive.

Really great burgers, reasonably priced and generous portions. The two of us ordered a large basket of frys and were floored at the amount. I will definitely return to try more Awesome burgers . Just make sure you bring an appetite and definitely ask for extra napkins because the burgers are huge and very juicy

I needed to grab a meal, and I’d always seen the Anchor during the Wooden Boat Festival. So, when the opportunity arose to slip in and have a beer and a burger, I jumped at the chance.

I enjoyed a smash burger and fries, and the burger and fries were very enjoyable. The smash Burger’s bun was a nice roll, and the pickles really set the burger apart. I also liked the fries, with both salt and pepper. The price with a beer was good too!

A very busy pub. The food was great and plentiful. My only regret is my cheesesteak was hamburger not sliced beef, however it was very good. Large basket of very good fries. Very salty but nice and crisp. My wife couldn’t eat all of her burger but did eat the meat.

We had a great time at Anchor! Food, drinks, service, atmosphere – all amazing. The smash burger in particular was really good and would highly recommend. The vibes were great; set in a historic building with exposed brick, original wood floors, and loft seating. Combined with the music, artwork, good food/drinks and friendly service it made for a great experience. Looking forward to heading back next time we’re in PT.

A great pub/bar in the heart of Port Townsend. Many delicious cold beers on tap and the atmosphere and environment are welcoming and cheerful. Good mix of mostly locals and some tourists filtering in and out. Just a great watering hole in town!

Took awhile for me to make my way to the Anchor and I regret it…badly. Do not sleep on this spot. Had the Italian beef and it was perfect. Soft yet crunchy, juicy yet not messy, the flavors melded perfectly with just the right amount of kick from the peppers. Fries were on point. My wife had the smash burger and I was lucky to get a bite before she realized it was too good to share. We both agree it’s the best burger we have had in this town in our 40+ years of living here. The key lime pie (cocktail) was dangerously delicious and the Bloody Mary was great with more garnish than the standard fare. Hands down best bar in town.

Nice spot for some cocktails & dinner.
Cocktails were great, burger was OK, fries were tasty, flat bread taco was pretty good. Went for Sunday night football – we’ll be back for another go…

My family and I have lived in PT for a few years now and LOVED going to Anchor in the beginning. It had been awhile since we got to go there but we were finally able to yesterday, Sept 7, 2025. Our food and experience a year ago was fantastic. Our food and experience yesterday was terrible! We spent a lot of money there for lunch and the food wasn’t good and wasn’t cooked all the way. We found raw fries in our basket and the bacon on my husband’s burger looked uncooked as well. He couldn’t eat it. On top of that, the girl that took our order was very rude and uninviting. She gave my husband a hard time while placing our order and then again when I asked to get our food in to go boxes. We have to eat outside because we have a young child. So we wanted to go sit at the picnic tables away from the bees out front of the restaurant.
We were very excited to go there yesterday after not being there for awhile but after the experience we had, we will not be returning. Totally bummed!

I’ve been to the Anchor a couple of times for the food. Seems like a decent bar, but I want there at peak bar times.

The anchor burger and truffle fries are amazing. This is by far the most flavorful burger I’ve ever had.

“Aunty’s frybread taco” on the other hand, is garbage. Ok, the toppings are good, but that isn’t Indian frybread. At least not Native American frybread, like they are trying to make it sound. It is far more like a piece of Naan tossed on the grill to warm. Just look at the last picture, flat, dense dough, and pretty flavorless. I couldn’t finish the bread. If you’ve ever had a real Indian frybread taco, this will disappoint and makes aunties everywhere cry.

Note to the anchor – having a white dude make a poor excuse for frybread and passing it off as “Anty’s”, you may not be coming out and saying it’s an “Indian taco”, but you know that’s what you’re inferring and some would call that appropriation.
