Finally an AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant in Fort Mill!! menu filled with variety makes deducing what to eat a thoughtful process. Delicious menu options, wonderfully quick and kind service, friendly staff, and an overall great atmosphere. A must try, and I promise you’ll be back again!

I judge a Mexican restaurant a lot based on the chips they serve. Either they were old chips that were put back in the fryer or they have old grease. The salsa was watery and just okay. Their mole sauce is great, just needed more of it bc the enchiladas were dry. However, excellent rice and Chile Relleno. Service was also commendable.

We visited Mr. Rayo Mexican Restaurant for their vegetarian options, and the food was truly delicious! The flavors were rich, and the ingredients tasted fresh. It’s great to find a spot that puts effort into their veggie dishes.
However, there were a few hiccups during our visit. We were served the wrong item — we ordered a burrito but got a quesadilla instead. We had also specifically asked not to include spinach, but it was still added to the dish. On top of that, the service felt rushed — the food came out in a hurry and the staff started clearing plates before we were done eating.
Despite these issues, the quality of the food itself was excellent, which is why I’m still giving 4 stars. With a bit more attention to detail and a slower pace, this could easily be a 5-star experience.

Mr. Rayo was the first place my family ate on our recent trip to the Carolinas. I can’t tell which was best: the quality of the food, the service, or the price. The portions were gigantic and the food delivered quickly. As 2025 comes to a close, this is simply the best Mexican cuisine I’ve eaten this year. Thank you for starting our vacation perfectly!

Met some friends after-work on a Friday evening. From the second we entered we were greeted and treated terrific. The drinks were awesome so many flavors to choose from. Menu items very authentic, fir us they were great quality, value, and yummy. Everyone working was attentive. Excellent location to have good food, good atmosphere, friendly, and professional.

I give this new mexican grill restaurant in fort mill area 10 Top Notch!! This is one restaurant that I can revisit tomorrow because the food, service, and atmosphere were Exceptional!
The atmosphere is so vibrant and inviting with the amazing painting on the walls!
This was my 1st time visiting tonight with friends and let me just say this, Mr. Rayo Mexican Grill did not disappoint at all! I had the mixed fajitas with chicken and steak!! The chicken, steak, and veggies were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Hands down, the best I have ever had!!
My friend had the veggie taco salad because she is a vegetarian. She said that it was scrumptious! She said that only thing she would change is have the black beans on top of the salad instead of the bottom because the juice from the beans made the taco shell a little soggy! Also, we had guacamole! It was delicious
Lastly, my other friend had the steak quesadilla and rice.. He said it was mouthwatering!! The steak was tender and cooked to perfection. He also said that rice was excellent, not overcooked or undercooked but just right.
Mr. Rayo Mexican Grille, thanks for an excellent experience tonight! I will definitely be back!!

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to, definitely the best in the area! The food was exceptional, and the service and atmosphere is unmatched! The prices are the most fair that I’ve seen, especially for the current economy! The amount of food and portion size you get is amazing!
