I came here after they moved from New Haven and I ordered my 33rd birthday cake from them and they made it exactly the way I wanted it. Thank you very much I have been to other bakeries and every single time they never have or make it to what you ordered but not Rocco’s. If you tell them what you want they will deliver the results. Just a note I ordered whipped cream because I did not want it to be sweet which it was not but not everybody likes it that way.

Rocco lowkey surprised me. Pulled up for a quick bite and the pastries were actually fire. Super fresh, super soft — like, melt-in-your-mouth levels. Staff was chill and the place has that cute hometown vibe. Big W for a bakery stop. 100000/100!!!

No place makes me feel as nostalgic as Rocco’s. The sweet smells, the people in line telling stories. I remember when they brought on a baker and the mom who used to run it introduced the baker to me. It was personal, it was a part of our home, New Haven. Rocco’s coming to Meriden was the best thing for us! The pastries are so delicious and the bread is baked fresh daily. 50 yrs as customer from New Haven for Stuffed Breads. Chick cutlet, Broccoli & Sausage etc. Moved 2 Meriden, it’s noticeable, U didn’t bring the ovens & price went up $2 =$12. Bottom of bread isn’t crunchy like B4. Ovens not hot enuff @ new place. Still BEST Stuffed Breads than any store, Gr8 for parties,or give to neighbor. Worth a trip from anywhere.

There’s been a lot of talk about Rocco’s in a Meriden Facebook group, so I had to stop by and try them. I got a cinnamon roll (which was the size of my head), a blueberry danish, limoncello cake, and a slice of pepperoni and cheese stuffed bread. The staff were super nice and answered any questions that I had. Everything I’ve bought (for a very reasonable price) is five stars! I plan to be making more stops at Rocco’s in the future.

OMG! Everything I have tried from here has been amazing. From stuffed breads to eclairs to a rum cake! Small place but packed with delicious goodies and the service is quick and efficient.

Do not order a small pumpkin pie, they only make large pumpkin pie. Shop was slammed on Saturday and the woman at the register had to spend 5 minutes explaining they do not make small pumpkin pies. So when she hung up and looked at me, I told her to add a small pumpkin to my order. Before she could respond, a lady to my left, said me too. That’s the type of place this is. Love it
