We absolutely love Cook’s Burger Bar, it’s our favorite spot! Everything on the menu is delicious and made with care, from the juicy burgers to the amazing Farmer’s Fries. The Not So Fuzzy Navel drink is a must-try! The service is always friendly and attentive, and the whole place has such fun, welcoming vibes and great decor. We also love playing a round at the pool table while we’re there. And don’t skip dessert, the Chilly Whips are the perfect sweet treat to end your meal. Truly the best place!

You have to be careful if you stop here! We were on a trip to the factory outlets and decided to stop for lunch. My wife eats vegetarian, so she checked the menu, success! She loved her veggie burger and the fries were great and we all really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and the staff were very attentive! Angela our waitress did a fantastic job, she was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. You have to be careful because you will Want to Come Back!

From the moment you walk in the front door the atmosphere strikes you. Very friendly staff. Our servers name was Hannah, she was knowledgeable about the menu. She answered all my questions with ease. She has a great personality. Our Bacon burger was amazing. We also tried the Farmer Fries a must have! We will definitely be back to try more of the menu. This is a family friendly restaurant.

This was my second visit to Cooks Burger Bar, and I have to say, I really enjoyed my previous Mushroom Swiss Burger—so tasty! This time, I decided to try the fish fry since I love fish and seafood. My husband said he really enjoyed it. The way they cooked it was done quite well, but I was hoping for a bit more flavor from the fish. Overall, I’d give the fish fry a 7.5 out of 10, and I’m definitely looking forward to returning and trying more delicious options!

The drinks, food and service are on point! I had the VA Moonshine Lemonade, Rueben, and Farmer Fries for the table. The side pickles are amazing. Slightly sweet, slightly sour, and spicy. Soooooo good! I didn’t get pictures of the burgers that were ordered, they were eaten so fast! We got milkshakes to go. Vanilla, Chocolate with toffee, and Banana Pudding. Nothing disappointed at all. Will be back for sure!

We were thrilled when Cook’s Burger Bar opened their second location on the west side in Lightfoot—and it did not disappoint. This spot is more spacious than the original, with larger booths, more room to spread out, and even a pool table in the back. The whole place has that cool, laid-back 70s wood-panel bar vibe that just feels comfortable and welcoming.

Most importantly: the food is consistently on point.

We’ve been multiple times and have worked our way through most of the menu. The wings are outstanding—especially on all-you-can-eat wing night. Always crispy, hot, and full of flavor. Their tallow fries are absolutely exquisite—some of the best fries anywhere.

We also love the fried Brussels sprouts and the fried pickles—both perfectly crisp and great for sharing. The Reuben is stacked and flavorful, and definitely one of our go-to orders.

As for the burgers, we’ve tried just about every variation, and each one has been excellent. My personal favorite? The Mushroom & Swiss. It’s rich, savory, and just flat-out delicious. Even the cauliflower wings are surprisingly tasty if you’re skipping chicken.

On the drink side, they make a great Old Fashioned at a very reasonable price, plus they’ve got a solid lineup of canned beers.

Bottom line: great atmosphere, fair prices, friendly service, and food that never misses. We’re regulars for a reason. The Lightfoot location has quickly become one of our favorite spots in town. Highly recommend.

Cook’s Burger Bar is a true gem and one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed with the theming. it has the perfect balance of retro charm and modern style. The atmosphere is inviting and fun, making it a great spot for families or anyone who just loves a good meal in a stylish setting.

The staff deserves a mention right away. Every team member we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. Even though the restaurant was busy, they took the time to answer questions and check in on us, which made the whole experience feel personal and welcoming.

Now for the food… wow! The Brussels sprouts were nothing short of incredible. Crispy, flavorful, and seasoned perfectly, they were hands-down the best I’ve ever had. I could’ve made a meal just out of those. We also tried the Farmer’s Fries, and they were excellent. I love that they’re cooked in tallow, giving them a unique flavor and a lighter, less greasy feel than typical fries.

The burgers, though, are the real stars here. I ordered the Classic Burger, and I have to say it’s the best burger I’ve ever eaten, juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. My mom went with the Southern Pub Burger and agreed it was probably the best she’s ever had as well. Her highlight was the fried green tomato were thin and not thick. My dad ordered the Mushroom and Swiss and, although he didn’t say much, he finished every bite without stopping, always a good sign!

Even the kids’ menu impressed us. My youngest had the mac and cheese, which came with Goldfish crackers, applesauce, and a small serving of fries. She loved every bit of it and felt special with her own fun little meal.

The drinks didn’t disappoint either. The sweet tea was fresh and perfectly sweetened it tasted like it was made with care, not from a mix.

Overall, Cook’s Burger Bar delivers on every level: atmosphere, service, and food. The portions are generous, the quality is top-notch, and the prices are very fair for what you get. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you’re anywhere nearby, this is a must-try spot.
