Star House has always been top notch for takeout Chinese. They do not do sit down service anymore but take out and delivery only. Food is very good, freshly prepared, and great value. I have been ordering there a few times a month for years and have tried many menu items and have always enjoyed my choices. Owner/staff are awesome.

I’ve been living in Framingham for three years and yesterday I was hungry for Chinese food. Haven’t found any that I really really like in the area so I googled. I found this Restaurant called Star on Waverly Street.
I did not get a very big order, but I truly enjoyed all of it. The beef with scallions reminded me of my childhood and going to South Pacific in Newton.
All of the appetizers were good. I’m looking forward to going back and trying many of your dishes.

The spicy green beans were not as good as I was expecting not that crisp/ Hot.
The spicy chicken wings were good. But Nothing to go crazy about nice ppl. Just take out only. Not my favorite spot 2 say the least but overall average chinese food.

The Best Chinese takeout in the area and wonderful people, I’m very picky about food and this place is excellent a must try ! The soups are hearty and flavorful the chicken teriyaki big and well cooked great in place !

Food is pretty solid, nothing extraordinary. My stomach doesn’t feel excellent after eating their stuff and I’ve had some not great bathroom experiences. I’ve been at this place maybe 5-6 times but I come home today to find there’s a mosquito in my soup. My guess is the kitchen isn’t very sanitary and I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, but I will not be going there again. The rule of thumb seems to be: don’t cheap out on your Chinese food.

I’ve been a customer of Star House for years during which time the place has changed ownership several times and survived the pandemic by transitioning from a restaurant to primarily take out. Their food is as good as it has ever been in my opinion — they don’t have the costs associated with table service and can concentrate on food preparation. Their lunch specials are tasty and ample — I can have two meals from one lunch special. My comfort food is their egg foo young with pork fried rice.

Located near to the Framingham T station with limited parking. Food is very good, and quantity was pleasantly more than I expected!! Since I had wandered in while driving past, I had to wait about 10-15 mins for my order, but you can order online (or call in order) for pickup. They also have delivery to a limited area but I don’t know the details of that. Currently, dine-in is not available, only pickup or delivery. Definitely value for money!! I will be back

This place is by far the best I’ve had in the area. Not only is the food delectable but they also have Exquisite combination options not a lot of Chinese restaurants offer a mixture of delicious foods in one combo platter this is definitely my goal to when Framingham and the surrounded counties

Update 5/21/23: From 2 Stars to 4 Stars. We have had several take-outs since the 7/21/21 Update but the food was always just average. TODAY WE FOUND A BIG IMPROVEMENT IN THE FOOD !!!!!!!
Hot and Sour soup was much improved. The Star House rice was excellent. Egg Rolls had a marvelous difference – made the way they should be. The ginger sauce for the Scallion Pancakes was like WOW. They still make the best Wonton soup.
Update 7/21/21: Since late in the lockdown they have gone down in quality. I don’t know if its a different cook or what. Try again tonight and decided its time to look elsewhere.
UPDATE 3/23/19: This restaurant just keeps getting better. They have the best wanton soup of any place. Very tasty Peking Raviolis. The House rice is packed with many ‘goodies’. The scallion pancakes are the best: light and crispy.
Been going here since they opened. Just went today and was surprised that the business is under new management. The food is not as good. Still good prices. Will miss the original owner who knew me by my first name. (2 Star rating originally)

After trying several other Chinese restaurants in the area for take out we were unable to find anything to our liking. I began reading Google reviews and ran across Star House. The recent reviews were pretty much positive so we decided to give it another try. Glad we did. Everything about the food has improved. The soup, egg rolls, scallion pancakes, rice, chicken wings were all very much improved, fresh and tasty. The Yang Chow rice was the biggest improvement but the ginger sauce for the pancakes was still too strong – just not right. I think we are back as regular customers.
