We were visiting Maine with a group of six friends and had such a hard time finding anywhere open past 8-8:30pm. We were exhausted, but stumbled on this place that was open until 11pm and decided to give it a try – so glad we did!!!
They happily seated all six of us, and the food was absolutely phenomenal!! You can really taste the care and love that goes into it, and it made the experience even more special knowing the owner was the one cooking. As a mac and cheese enthusiast – it’s a must try!!
The atmosphere was relaxed, with a few locals enjoying drinks at the bar, and it felt like one of those hidden gems you’re lucky to come across. Hands down one of the best meals of our trip. We’ll absolutely be back next time we’re in Maine!

Excellent service! Theresa was great! We changed tables because the window was open& we were chilly and she was super nice and told us to pick any table we liked as it’s important to be comfortable. The drinks were good (should add price to menu). The calamari was amazing and cooked perfectly. The sweet chili aïoli sauce that came with the scallops goes better with the calamari than the marina. The bacon wrapped scallops were delicious and should be part of the permanent menu (if they aren’t). There seem to be a lot of locals there, which is always a nice thing to see (& a good sign). We would recommend this place if in the area.

We sat outside on a sunny summer weekday, and High Tide was virtually empty. It was most likely a reflection of the downturn in tourism in Maine this season, because the food and service were both great.
I had scallops and a Caesar Salad. Both were perfectly prepared and presented. My guy had a burger which he said was one of the best he’s ever had at a restaurant.

Today I had a rib eye, ordered and cooked perfectly medium rare, Cajun maple scallops that were beyond amazing, the haddock placki which was moist and flavorful, and a few drinks that were perfect. All of the sides rocked.
I’ve gone to High Tide a number of times and I’ve always been beyond happy with the food, service, price, and ambience. I’ve recommended it to many people.
Now for if you want to dig deeper:
Today is Veterans Day. They advertised a free meal for veterans. I expected what I’ve usually experienced: a free entree from a limited menu or a discount on the regular menu. Either way, I’m super appreciative of any offer for veterans.
This place …. it was literally a free entree from their regular menu. That’s … unprecedented in my experience.
The food and drinks and service were AMAZING as always, but I really wanted to write this review because this was a recognition of Veterans that I’ve literally never seen anywhere else, despite living in places centered around military bases.
ALSO when I’ve had dogs so could handle social situations and I’ve brought them here, the staff had been incredibly accommodating.

My husband and I were here in mid June 2024. This restaurant was fairly close to our hotel at the Rockland Harbour Hotel. We had a friendly and prompt waitress. It wasn’t very busy yet. We both ordered the Steak. It came with wedge Fries and Sautéed Zucchini and Green Beans. We both enjoyed our meals. Also we had a great view by the window, of the harbour. Later we went down there for a walk and to take pictures. There is lots of parking, at least there was in mid June. We would come here again if in the area.

My girlfriend and I shared the Baked Stuffed Haddock as well as the Lobster and Spinach Alfredo and both were phenomenal but the Lobster alfredo was the highlight of the evening!! Best dinner out to eat in a long time! Thanks for the recommendation Teresa! And thank you High-Tide! We’ll definitely be back next time we visit Rockland.

Can’t wait to eat here all the time! We had dinner on the patio and it has such a good view of the ocean, so up close and beautiful. The interior is so clean and modern and fresh, it’s such a good vibe! Lots of wood touches, wood tables and chairs too, with calm moody lighting, perfect for going on a date but also fully family friendly. There is a big full bar too so I would definitely bring friends here for drinks!
We got shrimp cocktail and calamari for the apps and they were phenomenal!! The presentation was so good and they served some feta and pepperoncini pepper slices on the calamari, it was phenomenal tasting! I got the haddock plaki for dinner which I will get again for sure, it was delicious. My husband got the ahi tuna and again it was 10/10!
Lots of great appetizer and entree and drink options! I also love that they have seafood options to really make it a Maine, coastal vibe!
We had the turtle cheesecake for dessert which was amazing.
