thats it. I dont expect free food but a bit more sympathy on 80$ wasted would have been cool.
Cute little spot. The pizza smelled so good. We wanted ice cream though. Homemade flavors. I had the cotton candy and peanut butter, my Mom had the black raspberry with the cotton candy and my Nephew have the peanut butter and chocolate chips cookie dough all on sugar cones. They were delicious. We wish the scoop were a little bit bigger because they flavors were delicious.
There is indoor and outside seating. Plenty of parking. Overall a great experience.
The first time the pizza was excellent and my wife and I agreed it was in our top 20 pizzas.
The second time we ordered, the pizza was even better, we discussed that it may even challenge our number 1 pizza spot (Central Pizza in Berlin).
The third time however, and wow, this pizza was so good, easily the best pizza we’ve ever had, anywhere, hands down. The cheese and crust were perfectly broiled, yet the crust is still chewy on the inside. The pepperonis are small and the edges are perfectly singed making them crispy and delicious .
I realize that not everyone likes the same pizza style, and that many like NY style floppy, but my wife and I like broiled cheese, crispy crust with a chewy inner and crunchy pepperoni, with ‘just’ the right amount of sauce.
I am glad to report that Park Side Pizza has far and away exceeded our expectations. We moved from the city so didn’t expect great pizza out here in the boonies. Plus, They are nice enough to cut the pizza into squares for our insanely picky son Shamuel.
Park Side Rules!
– Parkside is a little hidden gem of Bolton. I worked for a pizza place for 3.5 years and this place has some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. We have been going to Parkside ever since we moved to Bolton in 2020. It turned into a habit and we order nearly every week.
– We’ve had almost everything on the menu at this point and a lot of it is either great, or veryyy good.
– Overall, 10/10. Honestly you can’t beat Parkside, and if you do; well it must be homemade or it’s just not your thing.
Staff:
– The staff knows us as regulars at this point and already know our order when we call, unless we change it up on them :p.
– The whole staff is very friendly and quite accommodating (we’ve had some asks that seem like a stretch, and they always do it for us). The owners are in quite a bit and they seem to know all their customers like they are a neighbor, it is very wholesome – something you rarely see.
Milkshakes:
– Their milkshakes are about at Arethusa Farms quality; which, if you know anything about milk, is a really high standard.
Pizza:
– The pizzas they make are spectacular, some of the best I’ve ever had, and they never let me down.
– My favorite is my custom 4 topping build-your-own, roasted red peppers, bbq chicken, onion and garlic.
– I’ve personally had almost every ‘special’ pizza, and I have nothing but good to say.
– The prices for the small seem a bit high, so we always stick to larges, and the prices for those are quite reasonable, and worth it.
Calzones:
– The calzones are STACKED, 12″ dough I think is used, and these things are thicc. Like, very thick. Half is enough to make you full, and a whole calzone is enough to make your stomach pop out.
– The price range for these is very agreeable, and honestly a steal if you make it a custom or one of the ‘specials’ they make.
– I personally get a BBQ chicken, onion, red pepper calzone. I will note that there have been a select few times where the calzones weren’t cooked properly, but it’s very infrequent.
Grinders/Wraps:
– The grinders/wraps they have are also very good, you can’t really go wrong with anything you choose.
– One time we got the bacon cheeseburger grinder. I know its expensive, but honestly it is beyond worth it.
– The same goes for almost any grinder or wrap, I know I’m beating a dead horse, but all the prices balance out when you see what you get; and you might even think it’s a steal.
Burgers:
– The burgers are also amazing, which is surprising since most restaurants never get them right. I ordered it medium rare, I ACTUALLY GOT IT MEDIUM RARE! That almost never happens for me.
– I would personally suggest the Baha or Rodeo burger, they’re divine.
Apps:
– Lastly, the apps. We’ve had them all and like everything else…really good.
– The must have wings are actually very good contenders for ‘wing’ places, which isn’t easy so kudos.
– I would not recommend the meatballs though, personally I didn’t think it was worth it for what you got, but they were pretty good. They make them fresh daily so I see how the price factors in there.
Pizza was pretty meh. Not bad by any means, but just kind of fell flat. I ordered the steakhouse pizza. Description clearly says shaved steak, but it was hamburger. The chicken and waffles pizza was a hit and the hot honey was just OK. Service was prompt and friendly.
They do have seating inside but it’s a typical diner booth setup…. Clean but I never see anyone eating inside. We really have no reason to eat there because we live so close but I imagine there would be people eating here on their “cruise nights”. I think every Wednesday there is a car show.
Update August 2025-
We still get food from here at least once a week. The dining room is busier now but still usually has at least 2 tables open.
The pizza is still very good…. However sometimes if we get it on a Friday or Saturday it’s a little too saucy… I think they just get really busy and don’t spend as much time on making the food.
The only complaint is that they don’t have any pasta dishes…. My kids will eat pizza everyday if they could but if they had the option of just plain spaghetti, that would be one more option my picky kids will eat.
