As you know, I travel the whole bay area for work and sometimes I find really good Chinese spots. This one was very good. I got the lunch special compound chicken that came with white rice and soup. The rice and the soup were delicious. The compound chicken was good but not great. I feel like the chicken needs a little more flavor, but the sauce they use is great but the chicken itself needs to be marinated a little better. All that was under $15 unless you get a drink, which is a few dollars extra. But I definitely recommend it if you’re in the area.

We’ve been enjoying the excellent cuisine of China House since their early days. Under new ownership recently but pretty much unchanged otherwise. My only complaint is some of the waitstaff can be quite unfriendly. There is a negative energy in the air.

The veggie fried rice comes with egg which I’m not a fan of for vegetable fried rice. I expected more variety in the veggies chosen but it’s just carrot and broccoli. Because of the egg the fried rice doesn’t hold in the fridge well at all.

The best Chinese food in Half moon Bay. The wah wonton soup is amazing with depth of flavor. Our favorite mooshu pork ever. The pork dumplings were perfectly made with great flavor as well.

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING FOOD. Sizzling rice soup was served with steam rice. No wonder the rice was already in the soup when they brought the dish to our table. The chicken had a funny taste and it was smelling weird. I asked for some sauce and the guy was bothered and rude. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Spend your money somewhere else.

Something you have to be aware of if you want to dine is: a minimum of $10 must be spent for each person of your party. We were told that after we were done ordering and sitting down. We had to change our order to go. The person who took our order was also a little rude.
The food was good and the quantity was a lot. We ordered a chicken chow mein. We were able to split that into 3 with good quantity for all of us. Again, we really liked the food but the $10 min for each person is ridiculously, especially if you’re doing family style and your party doesn’t eat that much or came here to hold you up until you make it back home.
