Small town diner where everyone knows everyone. Our server was very friendly and personable. My only complaint is that they allow smoking inside. We left smelling like ashtrays. I didn’t realize smoking indoors is still legal in parts of our country. Other than that, the food was good.

Our favorite waitress was there and the service was amazing! The food was great. Took my family from Pennsylvania there to try some authentic southern sweet tea and southern style cooking and they loved it!! This place is awesome!

Odd to describe place. Food is good but not outstanding. Staff always seems out of sorts. Most recent visit had a cook that seemed a lil better than other visits. Looking forward to trying again to see if consistency better than previously have thought. Typical mom and pop style offerings.

Reading other peoples reviews makes me laugh.
Personally I’ve been here once and I had a lovely time. The cafe is a large open floor plan with booths and tables and a music area set up near the front.
We walked in and seated ourselves. A few minutes later our waitress came and took our drink orders. The sweet tea was delicious.
We ordered from the lunch specials. I had the spaghetti and salad. (All it said was spaghetti and salad so no clue what I was really getting.) my dish came out as spaghetti with meat sauce and a nice little side salad. The meat sauce was honestly one of the best meat sauces I have ever had. I’m Italian and love to cook and I haven’t even made a meat sauce as tasty as this. The pasta was over-cooked but the flavor of the sauce made up for that. It also came with Texas toast which I used to eat up more of the yummy meat sauce.
Husband got the roast beef with mashed taters, cole slaw and baked beans. The cole slaw was one of the best we’ve ever had. Sweet and tangy and delicious. He said the beef was alright, but he really enjoyed all the sides.
Simple place with a simple menu and decent food. Very on par for other restaurants in small town kentucky.
We will definitely go back for more another time.
