There are so many good items on the menu, I love Posillipos. They give you soup or salad with your entree and bread. Every soap is amazing. Everyone I have ever brought there ends up becoming a regular customer. Freddy the bartender is the best.

TLDR: A bit pricey but the food is good!
The place is clean, service is good enough, and the food was served nice and hot. We ordered 2 pasta dishes, both of which were very good. The only thing keeping this restaurant from a 5-star review is the price. We paid almost $70 for 2 people. The food was great, but it was 2 very simple pasta dishes (rigatoni bolognese and penne with vodka sauce) plus an appetizer. It wasn’t completely outrageous, but it was more than I would have liked to pay for the food.

Update: I have learned the steak was cooked then frozen and unfrozen to be recooked; this resulted in bacteria, additionally, the gray color came from frostbite… this is inhumane and also deplorable. I am now having a horrible allergic reaction that caused me to require prompt medical attention. They essentially poisoned me. Do NOT go here ever! I should sue for this… PS. my boyfriend also got food poisoning so it’s not just a fluke.

Living back in Jersey, I’ll admit I get kind of tired of going to Italian restaurants because so many of them eventually all taste the same. Posillipo is different — it’s one of those places I’d recommend every time.
The staff is always so kind and attentive, and it really feels like they genuinely care about your experience. The steaks 10/10 I’m obsessed with their mushroom sauce! Love these guys & this place!

Everything was delicious. The lamb chops, filet mignon and homemade fettuccine with puttanesca sauce with shrimp were excellent. Garlic bread was so good. Great wine selection. Service and servers were great. Highly recommend.

Been there several times and it’s been consistently good. Ingredients are fresh, food is prepare well and the service is efficient and very personable. They’re also very accommodating with meeting particular needs from their kitchen and their well stocked bar.
And though I’m not Italian, my husband is, and he likes this place as much as do.

My wife and I have dined at Posillipo many times and every meal has been perfect. This place is truly a hidden gem. I have never had a bad meal here. Service is very friendly and at the right speed for a fine dining establishment. It has a cozy warm atmosphere and the prices are not too bad for all you get. Most meals come with soup or salad and a cheese bread that is delicious.
