First and last time getting food from here. Ordered 2 lunch specials via grubhub… very disappointed. The sushi rice was old and the seams were falling apart for the rolls. The only saving grace was that the pieces on the nigiri were good. The ones in the rolls not so much. The misi soup wasn’t too salty which I appreciated… but later thinking about it, they probably added more water to extend the life and be cheap seeing how they were using old rice… not to mention the tofu were the smallest pieces I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t eat here in person nor order from here again.

Quiet little restaurant. I ordered takeout and got a shrimp hibachi and salmon hibachi. I really liked the salmon because it was tender, compared to another celebrated place on union turnpike near St. John’s which is always pretty tough with sticky sauce. The vegetables it came with were also varied and tasty, again compared to other restaurants. The fried rice it came with also good.

I would usually get deliver about once a month as a craving for sushi type of thing. My last experience here is horrible. So like I said I always got delivery and this is my first time experiencing going to the restaurant itself to order.

My son has a Christmas party on 12/18 so I went in to reserve a party tray and wanting to understand more about how many rolls fit in a party tray. So I was speaking to the waiter/receptionist on how many rolls I can get. I told him I would like to order lunch special and be put into a party tray, it was ok for them to charge me extra I just didn’t want to pay over what I was expecting. He then gave me the dirty face and said if you want to order party tray we have a section for that. I am going to a KINDERGARTEN PARTY all the other moms are spending around $15-$25.

The waiter/receptionist then told me I would have to order 12 rolls to be put in a party tray. I then look at the “party tray section” and it said it could be done with 8 rolls. So basically he wants me to order 4 3 rolls lunch special each for ~$15 totaling to estimate around $66 (including tax). I told him I saw it could be done in 8 rolls. He rolled his eyes at me and huffed and said ok what do you want. I let it go cause it’s for my son.
The last straw was when I asked if the Tokyo roll could be done not spicy cause may I repeat THEY ARE KINDERGARTENERS!!! He said no how can he do that? I said just don’t put the spicy mayos and just regular mayo. He said no it comes like that take it or leave it.

I don’t get what’s the problem when they did it for me before. Anyways I just left and said it’s ok since they don’t want my business I take it elsewhere. It’s too bad that this last and final experience was just terrible.

I must say, when it comes to sushi. This place is always the spot. The food is delicious !! I bring my wife, my family and friends here. I love the atmosphere; it’s calming, soft tunes, lowkey. Where you can have conversation and bond with people. The customer service is great, Sydney is the host / waitress that takes care of us. Very sweet, lovely smiley, and is always in a great mood. Highly recommend the dancing dragon roll !!

Pretty good food. Staff is super nice and accommodating. There restaurant is small with about seven or eight tables. They have lunch specials until 4pm which is nice. They get you your food to the table quick.

Extremely Disappointed and Frustrated

We ordered lunch for delivery, and the experience was awful. My rolls tasted old and watery. I called to complain, and they told me it would take over an hour to fix the order because they were “busy.” They also said I could come pick up a refund instead.

My coworker, who had the same issue, went to get the refund — only to be told they wouldn’t give it to him because it “wasn’t described properly” during my call. That’s ridiculous. We were both working and couldn’t eat, which is why I made the call in the first place.

To make things worse, the manager was extremely rude, saying he didn’t care, was too busy, and that no one else had complained. Completely unprofessional. We’ll never order from here again.

The hygiene was poor and the food quality was even worse. The sashimi was clearly not fresh — the texture and smell were off, and it didn’t feel safe to eat at all. Very disappointing experience, and I cannot recommend this place.

I honestly don’t know how this place is still open. The staff look annoyed the second you walk in, the hygiene makes you question your life choices, and the sushi tastes like it lost the will to live days ago. Nothing is fresh, nothing is worth the money, and they still sneak in extra charges like no one will notice. Do yourself a favor — walk past this place and keep walking.

I posted to a store called Kumo for the first time. I was thirsty while waiting for the post, so I asked for water, and he told me to buy it. When I tried the food, it was delicious. It’s really unkind and tasteless. If my friend says he’s going to this store, I’ll tell him never to go

The sashimi is good, fresh and soft. The hamachi kana is also good. Avoid the sushi rolls and miso – I didn’t like the flavor on these.
