Walked in and luckily we were able to be seated at the bar (best to make reservations ahead even if it says there are time slots open)
The beet salad was delicious, especially with the bits of dates to add a touch of sweetness. The Caesar salad was a nice portion (not pictured). The rigatoni was excellent, really love how large the pasta was, and the sauce had a great butteriness to it; nice short rib flavor as well. The coffee and creme desert was a highlight; the description also said small lady fingers but it resembles Rice Krispies to me, either way, delicious.

To be honest I wasn’t expecting much, I think there are way too many of this kind of restaurant out there, but I was SHOCKED at how good everything was. The delicata squash tempura was FANTASTIC. It was so unassuming but the light batter leaves room for the sweetness of the squash to come through.
The focaccia was fantastic although $3 extra for a singular tablespoon of salted butter is kind of off-putting.
The half chicken was INCREDIBLE. It might’ve been the juiciest chicken I’ve ever had in my life. The fries were really well salted which is HUGE
And the spicy rigatoni is not to be slept on! Pasta was the perfect doneness and the sauce was really perfect. I was worried it would be a throwaway dish but for a classic it was UNIQUELY good.
Amazing! Can’t wait to come back

The pastas were delightful. Really loved the textures and different combinations of flavors. The menu is definitely small. It would be a better place for an intimate meal for a smaller group.

While I came just before closing after being denied service/food at Les Mars (Thai)-which closed at 10 (I arrived at 9:50) so I applaud the kitchen/bar for serving me just before kitchen closing rendering service until the closing hour. So had a quick meal of a Caesar Salad-excellent, Tanqueray Martini and an Iberico Pork Chop with a seared cabbage and pear soubise-very good. I think my only observation is that if you serve a guest(s) just before closing, you accept the responsibility of giving the same service for a 7 pm reservation at nearly 11 pm walk in. I’m a professional chef and while I’m not being as critical as in the 80’s or 90’s, service should not taper off-at the bar where I sat or at a table to be lackluster at best. I will return as I have always had a curiosity about this place since it opened-so I took a chance. I’ll return at a more decent hour and Jackie-thank you. I enjoyed my food and experience.

Daphne’s is a true neighborhood gem. I had my birthday dinner here for a group of 10 and everything was fantastic—from the vibes to the food and wine. The pasta was especially delicious and flavorful, crudo was beautiful, and pork chops were juicy and tasty.
The staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful in hosting our group, and the personalized menus were such a thoughtful + tasteful touch. A great spot for special occasions and everyday dining. Can’t wait to come back!

Impressive food for impressive people
Don’t sleep on the desserts and also one of the few restaurants in nyc putting any effort into straciatella and not just pouring it out of a jar. Kudos

Honestly, probably the nicest and most upscale restaurant in Bed Stuy. The food quality is reflected in that, with superb ingredients and thoughtful balanced flavors. This is a great neighborhood date night restaurant or a perfect place to have your parents come to town and they’ll splurge for you. The atmosphere is great, modern and contemporary dining without feeling too fancy. The food, however, was amazing.
As soon as I saw that they had a Berkshire Pork Chop on the menu, I already knew I was going to order that. It was phenomenal. If you’ve never had like a NICE pork chop before, this will forever change your mind about them. Almost melt in your mouth, with a delicious grilled broccoli rabe and savory lentils for a nice texture bonus with your bite. Love this dish!
The striped bass was also good. Presentation is nice and also well balanced. The Caesar salad was delicious and had large portion. The dessert was amazing — forgot what it was… maybe a dulce de leche or something? Make sure to save room.
Didn’t take photos of the Crispy Mushroom or Beef Tartare, but both appetizers were of shareable size and would definitely recommend both!
I think this is worth taking the train for 100%. Not just a nice neighborhood spot. Highly recommend.

Surprisingly elevated neighborhood-feeling spot (probably not surprising to the team — they have a Michelin star so obviously aren’t messing around!). Best caesar salad I’ve ever had. Focaccia came as a quaint little loaf and — with the stracciatella — was perfection. Wine selection was delicious. Rigatoni was so satiating. Excited to come back.

Sensational food — everything was delicious except for the chicken which was so-so but still good, and the fries that came with it were excellent. Great wines and cocktails. Great desserts. Arancini was crazy good and so was the focaccia and the beet salad. Service could have been better, but we weren’t rushed at all and they were quick to respond to our needs and questions. Ambience is awesome, it’s really beautiful inside with perfect music and lighting. Overall, an amazing spot and will definitely return.
