A nice tucked away fusion restaurant with amazing flavors. If there’s one thing I recommend it is definitely the Brussels sprouts. The crispy texture with jam packed Asian soy flavor easily makes it THE best sprouts I’ve had. While the chicken wings were crispy, I didn’t find anything unique about it. Typical wings with a sweet and sour sauce. I wished they made a dish that fused the flavors from the Brussels sprouts onto the wings. The pad see U with beef was another good dish. Sweet flavor that’s nicely stirred fried. However the beef was a little bland and not tender.

Overall, I would come back again because the flavors were on point. During busy times, the wait times are going to be 20+ minutes long. This is especially with the limited seating and only one server

My experience at Champa Thai + Lao Restaurant was, unfortunately, quite disappointing. The restaurant has a limited seating capacity, with only six tables for four and one small table for two. Upon arrival, there was a noticeable wait, and not a single staff member acknowledged us when we entered. We were left to wait with no communication on how long it might take.

When we finally got to order, we chose the Chicken Satay ($8.50), Laotian-style Soft Spring Rolls (Naim Chao) ($8.50), Stir-fried Vegetables and Tofu ($12), and Beef Panang Curry ($16) with brown rice ($3). However, the brown rice never arrived, and since the bill wasn’t itemized, we couldn’t tell if we were charged for it. The service was slow throughout our visit, and our water glasses were never refilled. To make matters worse, the check was dropped off while we were still eating, making us feel rushed to leave.

As for the food itself, it was underwhelming, and nothing particularly stood out. It was alright at best, but not enough to make up for the lack of attentive service and overall experience. Regrettably, we don’t plan on returning to Champa Thai + Lao Restaurant in the future.

This place was so good!! I went with one other person on a Saturday mid-afternoon and only one other party was there. I would say the atmosphere was very quiet and some music/ambient sounds would have been nice, but again we were there at a weird time so maybe it does get loud in there. We both ordered off the specialties menu, 1 spicy fish and 1 Champa. Both were amazing but know that the spicy fish is spicy!! I loved it. We also shared a small Tom Kha Gai (as an appetizer it was small to share between two, best to just get your own). This soup healed us, it was so delicious. If you like refreshing coconut but with a little spice then definitely get this. They also have hot tea, comes in a cute pot and is a good amount for two people to share. The food portions were perfect and we even took a little to go at the end. The server was super nice and had great timing (like asking how things were and stuff- we didn’t feel bothered or rushed). Highly recommend and I will be returning 🙂

As Thai is my favorite cuisine (and really enjoy Laoatian) I’ve been looking forward to going here. For me, the food was just fine (pad see ew and tofu triangles) and the service a bit slow. Our server seemed frustrated and agitated by us and the other guests. The Thai iced tea was also extremely sweet to the point my companion could only stomach a sip or two. I’d like to come back to try other dishes, but there are other Thai spots in the area I’m more drawn to.

Probably the best restaurant in town with relationship to price and quality. The staff is friendly and engages actively in conversation, which makes you feel at home, and they have a bunch of loyal customers. They recommended me some dishes they had and they did not fail. The Khao Soi soup is the best one I tried ever since I went to northern Thailand and it tastes nearly the same as there. Prices are also very affordable and the place is cozy and smells of good food. I also went to the toilet once (which is at the kitchen) and their kitchen is very clean. Would recommend 10/10.

Really delicious food! I enjoyed the chicken satay and the pineapple fried rice. My parents’ Tom Ka Gai soup smelled great too. Despite being understaffed and busy, the servers were friendly and cheerful. Prices were relatively low.

Incredible food, and most importantly, incredibly authentic Lao/Thai food. We ordered khao soi and drunken noodles with a starter of spring rolls. The food was extremely tasty with just the right mix of spice and savoury flavours. Service was prompt and the owners are extremely friendly and helpful. A must-visit if you’re in Providence.

Best Thai food in providence!!! Love the khao soi, massaman curry, and papaya salad. Inside is tiny and fills up quick. We mostly do take out here. It is honestly my go to!

Great food and nice vibe at a very competitive price. Cozy place, which means it gets full pretty easily so plan accordingly. A small price to pay for great authentic food and a nice, warm atmosphere.
