We had a phenomenal first meal here and will definitely be back. We started with the Caesar salad and the house-made focaccia … both were excellent and highly recommended. For our mains, we tried the Scallops and Linguine and the Lobster and Oxtail Pasta. Both dishes were incredibly fresh and the flavors were outstanding. The quality honestly competes with the best spots in the North End. Can’t wait to return and try more of the menu!

I cannot recommend the composed oysters on this menu enough! They are absolutely to die for. We had a great time sitting at the bar with our incredible bartender who took great care of us while we had a drink and some snacks before heading to a show at Soundcheck Studios. Fantastic spot, can’t wait to come back and try more.

What a wonderful experience. Leo our server was fun, knowledgeable and patient. He served me delicious coffee, while I awaited my large party and checked out the menu. We tried a little bit of everything. The food was decadence in a dish. After appetizers and entrees, we could not resist dessert. The cannoli, lava cake and tiramisu were gobbled by the spoon full.
I will be making reservations for my birthday!

Not pictured is any of the food we consumed because it was so good I was too busy eating it to take pictures. The miso Arancini, mussels, and pasta with sausage and broccoli rabi were amazing. Martinis are top-notch!
Only downside is they save room at the bar for regulars even if the seats are empty. We were denied a seat at the bar and those seats remained empty until after we were leaving. Definitely left a bit of a sour taste.

Went here for the first time on Valentine’s Day. Obviously a busy night to go out to eat. They were running a little late for our table but we got seats at the bar, and they were really communicative. And they kept it all very seamless for us with keeping the same server when we switched to our table, so we didn’t have to worry about cashing out or anything. The food and drinks were great and all the staff was all very nice. Would definitely recommend and return!

I guess I had higher expectations based on reviews, crowds and food $$$$ than this place delivered, at least for me. I had the duck, which didn’t have a lot of flavor and the sides were a bit rubbery. We also had a pasta dish which was okay, but we didn’t bother taking the leftovers home. This isn’t the North end so competition among Italian restaurants is not high.
Cocktails are quite good, so I may go back for those along with some small food orders.

If you are looking for delicious, authentic, out of this world Italian cuisine, then this is the place to go. BUT, if you want the typical boring Italian food, do not come here! This place is absolutely amazing! As soon, as you walk thru the door you are greeted by the hostess( at the time it was Lisa) so friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was Marissa, she was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive and provided excellent customer service.. For a Tuesday night is was really busy, but the bar was crowed. I definitely recommend reservation at anytime. Now the FOOD! I can’t say enough about the food. Presentation on all dishes were beautiful , everything was freshly made ( i described all the dishes in the pictures)
There is plenty of parking in the front and in the back. Prices are reasonable. Great proportions on the dishes.
Overall, EXCEPTIONAL service to all the staff members, that includes back of the house!

Update: another delicious dinner! We came back to one of our favorite restaurants for a pre/ anniversary dinner. We sat in the bar area and the bar was full for a Tuesday night. Reminder on Tuesday is $1.50 oysters, which were fabulous! Our server Erin was great, she was attentive and friendly. Now the food is always consistent, we have never had a horrible meal here. It’s always beautifully plated, always well seasoned and the Vivo staff Is spot on! Again, make sure you make reservations because it doesn’t matter what day it is this place is always busy!
I didn’t take any pictures because this is like my 10th time returning to this restaurant. This place is just amazing. The food is always on point , service is always fabulous. This go around we had Kevin as our server and I just can’t say enough about him! He was just wonderful! Our friends from the NS requested to come here AGAIN since they loved everything about their first visit! I can’t stress enough to make reservations because this place is always packed because the food is just amazing!
I think I have tried almost everything on the menu and I have never had a subpar meal!

Phenomenal chef driven menu on top of hospitality excellence. From the host greeting you and taking drink orders if a wait, to the final goodbye there is nothing that does not impress. Brittany is a credit to the craft, and made sure all of needs were met, along with providing fantastic recommendations that showed pride in food itself. Great time and well worth the visit.

This place is the real deal, comparable to some in Boston’s north end. Been twice and will be back. The brick roasted chicken was amazing, as well as the scallop linguine and broccoli rabe. Cacio e pepe was phenomenal as well as the tuna crudo. The bone marrow bruschetta and lobster oxtail Bolognese are the true heroes. You have to get these, the mixture of flavors from the lobster and oxtail in the Bolognese create an unexpected combo that really works. A dish unlike any other I’ve tried. The bone marrow bruschetta cannot really be described, simply one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had. It is not your traditional bruschetta, the bone marrow melts into the bread and creates an almost French toast-like texture. Rich citrus flavor and cheese compliment it perfectly. I recommend this place to everyone.
New menu items like the soft shell crab, salmon carponata and white Bolognese of white rabbit and King Crab are new favorites of mine. The carponata is the best bang for your buck on the menu as there is lots of it. The white Bolognese is something you cannot get anywhere else, the flavors are rich and powerful. Soft shell crab is fried and served with a creamy/fruity puree that is tremendous. We keep coming back here because it is so fantastic.
Latest visit included this glazed scallop lobster XO linguine which had huge perfectly grilled scallops and an amazing lobster sauce that coated the dish. Another 10/10. Also their lemon tiramisu is a must try just due to the fact this is the only place you’ll get it. Absolutely delicious. The beef shank was tender and a huge portion. Very good entree option. Their lobster and butternut squash arancini we all agreed was probably the best one we’d ever had. Their burrata came with a crispy fruit tart which was a great touch. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

We enjoyed a delicious meal with 2 starters: pork belly special & onion soup, and 2 entrees: duck breast & lobster oxtail bolognese. A btl of montepulciano plus a cappuccino, negroni & splitting a coffee & caramel tiramissou for dessert rounded out this meal with professional service by Shauna, an excellent server who knows how to open, serve & pour wine – imagine that! Bravo!
