I wish I could provide more insight to the menu, but we always come for the chicken sandwich, so so good… crispy moist so flavorful. If you cant make it to Petaluma, on Friday they have a booth at Somona Friday Market.

My manager and I were in the area for work, we decide to stop by here for lunch before heading back to the office in the Central Valley. Let me tell you when you walk in the place is just clean, the environment was just inviting. The lady at the register was just so sweet and professional and helped us on telling use the most popular items. We needed up getting the firehouse chicken with a side of fires. Man the chicken on that thing was huge. I had to force my self to finish it I was already full half way but finished it. The fresh buns, the coleslaw, homemade pickles, the homemade sauce. Was delicious. Everything was made in house. We asked for water and it came in a fancy bottle but was cold and refreshing even the cups they provided were cold. I highly recommend going there. I honestly can’t wait to go back. A must try.

Incredible fried chicken sandwiches with house made pickles and coleslaw. Just a perfect sando by every measure. The dining room is small and bright with a wall of windows facing the parking lot. Maybe enough seating for 25. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. She helped advise my friend who is allergic to avocados on a different choice after he considered ordering the Torta special with out them. Turned out to be the right call.

My friend had the chicken sandwich and I tried the seasonal salad. All together a great experience with such fresh ingredients and subtle yet distinctive flavors in each dish. The passion for fresh, local and flavorful comes through in wonderful and unexpected ways. Ingredients such as the pickled celery, the perfectly roasted summer squash, and the homemade chili crisp made the meal memorable. Can’t wait to return for more seasonal creations.
Pro tips- they have a bundle of chili crisp and hot sauce for $20! Also ask them about their soup of the day. The recent soup was a vegetarian pumpkin soup.

So far in my search for the best fried chicken sandwich in Sonoma County, this remains atop. Bravo to Belfare for not only delivering melt in your mouth sandwiches, but for also making sure that signature crunch and bold flavors shine through. The brussel sprouts were also superior to any I’ve had anywhere prior. Keep up the great work!

Seriously one of the best meals I have had in Petaluma. We took our 3month old out and needed a quick bite. We got the original and the firehouse chicken sandwiches. Outstanding! I wish I lived in the neighborhood so I could walk down once a month and treat myself to the delicious food in-house. The staff are all so welcoming, thoughtful and kind. Not only does the food taste good its filling and your body feels good for eating it. My 7 yr old son had the special chicken strips, he said they taste like heaven. I got the original fried chicken sandwich with hot sauce. It’s everything you want in a fried chicken sandwich. The flavors and textures are the best in town. Those pickles and that hot sauce no wonder it’s for sale at the counter, if you walk out the door without purchasing these items on your first visit you will return to make sure you pick them up on your next visit.
