I am sorry to hear the Sylvan Park location closed this week . I ate here during the holiday season due to its pop-up Nutcracker theme and the food was DELICIOUS! It was quiet, service was okay but the decor was lovely and did I say the food was delicious? We had the salmon and steak & potatoes; both entrees melted in our mouths. I look forward to trying the Berry Hill location.

Perfect Spot Between Upscale Dining and a Bar Scene
I had some coworkers in town and was looking for a dinner spot that wasn’t too upscale (Nashville has plenty of those) and wasn’t a bar either (we’ve got plenty of those too). Common Grounds in Berry Hill ended up being the perfect place in between.. hints the name
The food was excellent — from the Bang Bang Shrimp and Scallops to the Birria Tacos and Ceviche, everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. I’ll be back for that smash burger! The vibe was relaxed but still nice enough for a work dinner, the service was great, and the prices were refreshingly reasonable.
If you’re looking for a spot just outside the chaos of Nashville that’s affordable, chill, and still delivers amazing food, Common Grounds is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend.

This was a last minute decision to eat at Common Ground, and we are so glad we picked them. The server was so sweet and she had perfect recommendations. We had the burrata cheese appetizer, so good! 3 of us had a smash burger and potatoes and this amazing sauce. Homemade pickles to go on the burger were tasty. The other 2 had the chicken wrap and kale salad. Both were delicious. We had a cocktail flight and the espresso martini flight, all so yummy! The flamingo shirt was the best cocktail, so refreshing and all the ingredients were fresh. We will definitely be back!!

MG and Emily are incredible. We had an awesome time. We went for drinks before dinner and were already dying to come back. Also, if you love a paper plane. Theirs is stellar!!

They have good cocktails but the food was not very good. Way too overpriced. We got focaccia because they were out of the burrata and it came with butter, jam, and Boursin. Stuff we could’ve made ourselves. My fiancé’s pasta was all stuck together and my chicken was so deep fried it wasn’t good. The food and drinks are way too overpriced. The place was very bright with lighting as well and the chairs looked like they belonged in a cafeteria. All in all service was good and this place has the potential to be adorable but it definitely needs work and some adjustments. We ordered 2 martinis, 3 glasses of wine, an app, 2 mains, and a dessert (which also wasn’t great) and the total bill was $220. Ridiculous on pricing for the quality.

My husband found this hidden gem for Valentine’s Day. I’m so glad he did. The food was amazing. Don’t skip the grilled sourdough! Made in house and it is worth the trip. I got the Common pasta, which was anything but! Absolutely delicious. Service was perfect and 10/10 will return!

The experience, food, and service at Common Ground is reliably excellent. As a locally owned business, it is refreshing that the owners personally manage operations and are there working alongside their staff. We visited the Berry Hill location for happy hour Friday. Matt (a co-owner) was extremely competent and professional. The happy hour drink and food menu is outstanding and well-priced. You can enjoy at the bar or seated at any table. The avocado toast, crudite (with hummus and Boursin), and the roasted potatoes were impressive offerings on the happy hour food menu. The Berry Hill location is cozy and upscale-casual with mellow lighting and cool music. The Sylvan Park location is great too! Check it out!

Truly enjoyed coming here. The bartender was so nice, I forgot to tell her I am allergic to avocados and it come on the tacos. She took care of it, I apologized profusely, but never made me feel bad about making it over when it was clearly my fault. She insisted on making it over. We need more people like Emily in this world.
