Listen!!! I ordered the snoot sandwich!! Yeah buddy… it was really good!! It was just the right amount crunchy and the sauce was crazy good!! I do wish that it would have been chopped down into smaller chunks.. but that’s only because my fat self wanted to have a way to eat it faster.. lol… definitely will be going back.. I can’t wait to try the polish and/or ribs!!! 10/10

Real glad we made the trip and stopped in. Best bbq in STL. Excellent value. Friendly, hard working service. Full rib was stellar. Juicy, tender, not one moment overdone—perfect temperature. My daughter said best ever. Chicken leg quarters were generous, falling off the bone, just the right amount of chew. Rich and flavorful. Snoots crispy, perfect texture. Real treat. Sauce is light, good spice, nice consistency. Peppery and complements meat just right. Baked beans got less attention than the meat, but a tasty side. Plenty of food to keep enjoying for a couple days. Happy family! Will definitely be back. Thanks for the hospitality.

I went to Sandy’s yesterday thinking I love this place. I hadn’t been in awhile because I didn’t stay near by. But once a realize I wasn’t to far from it I had to go. But needless to say the service was horrible. I call first and got a bad attitude from owner. I then went there thinking that I would still get good service. I WALK in TO MORE BAD ATTITUDE. The owner was yelling at a older man about his order and when I walk up yo order the conversation was rude and ugly as I order from the beginning to the end. I even heard him tell a lady that walk in rudely that it would be a while. I was so disappointed I WILL NOT EVER GO BACK THERE, because I had never experienced such bad service. The food wasn’t even like it use to be he put bread on top and bottom to make it seem like he was given you something. The snoots were good but the tips was chewy needed to be cook longer.

When it comes to Sandy’s Barbecue, they will and have been my number 1, Bobbiecue go to. My family will come in town and that’s exactly where they want their cue from.. We grew up with the owners and family and they loved the People of East St. Louis and Surrounding areas who also Supported them as well.. People come as far as Chicago, Kansas, Memphis, to get a Good Crispy Snoot from Sandy’s. My favorite is their Snoots, and their Polish.. The only thing that I wish that they would do, is to use uber or door dash for delivery Service…Sandy’s We Always Support You Forever…Mmmmmmm, Good! Grade, A+

We came here for the snoots (pig nose grilled to a crisp and covered in bbq sauce).“The secret is in the sauce” is painted on the wall outside the restaurant, and I would agree this is the case! The tomato based bbq sauce is wonderfully tangy and also has a molasses like a quality with subtle hints of garlic, brown sugar, and onion. I do wish the pig snouts were cut into smaller pieces, as the large size can make them difficult to chew; some of the smaller pieces were absolutely perfect ! I do recommend eating snoots fresh because once they get stale they can lose their characteristics crunchy quality

Today, I had a taste for bbq rib tips and was told this place had great tips. Unfortunately, I will never know because I was given what seemed like neck bones that didn’t have enough meat to make a White Castle. Please, avoid this place as if they were serving all you can eat Covid 19 for free. Asked for extra sauce and didn’t get enough to wet the 4 slices of bread. To be clear, maybe the guy thought I said, “Could you PLEASE give me a bread sandwich with very little meat and please do not drip any sauce on it. I thought I was getting it fresh when I heard him in the back chopping with a meat cleaver , not realizing he was probably cutting up the last person that asked for a rib tip sandwich. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, PLEASE.

***PATRONIZE AT YOUR OWN RISK*** The guy’s (I guess owner, I hope not) attitude is horrible…ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I will NEVER patronize this place! I’d give it a zero if I could! I ordered 2 rib tip/snoot combos, 1 with no sauce no bread. He kept saying you want 1 with sauce and another with sauce on the side. I said No, I want 1 with sauce (like it comes) and the other no bread/sauce (simple enough, huh…i guess not). His attitude was already trash while taking my order (short and huffing and puffing, claiming it’s hard to hear, well drill more holes so you can hear better or hire help). When my order comes up, he had both without sauce. I said that’s not what I ordered…he got upset and said that’s what you ordered. I said No, the young lady before me asked for sauce on the side and you messed up her order by putting sauce on it. He really got upset and gave me a refund. Cool, you did me a favor!! He’s going to mistreat the wrong one on the right day!
**Response to bitter worker**: you repeated my order and I told you it was incorrect. I repeated it 3 times(you kept repeating it wrong). The last time i repeated, you got irritated and slammed down your pencil/pen and said ok have a seat. I matched your energy. Obviously you can’t take when your negative energy is matched! It’s sad the gentleman in there said you’re usually worse than today. The lady came back inside because her order was wrong but she left because you took too long to acknowledge her and she didn’t want to deal with your horrible attitude. As long as I’m away from your misery, my days can’t help but get better!!!

My baby moves onto her college campus in Ga in a week. The only thing she asked for was a snoot from home before she left. We live in Tn most of the year. I got up and drive her 4 hours today to get a snoot. There aren’t many options left so this was the pick. He’s consistently rude because we are rarely in town so it’s always the same. Trying to support anyway, I overlook. I’m done. Today, the lady before me ordered two polish. I ordered two snoots with extra sauce, which is what I always order when I’m here, and I added a rib/snoot combo. He’s doing orders and making them by himself and doesn’t have an organized method so he gets confused. The polish order is ready and he argues with the lady who paid for them that the girl in the shorts ordered that. Her and I are baffled and looking at each other. Then he finally concedes and tells me I’m responsible for my order. Sir, I didn’t pay $32 for two polish!! We know what we ordered! You’re the one confused. Not once did he apologize to the lady. Finally my order is up. He hands me sauce on the side but he’s inconsistent in how he handles extra sauce so no big deal. I go to car and my daughter opens her snoot. It’s missing sauce. He got the request wrong this time. No big deal. I go back in and wait for him to come to the window to ask for the sauce to be on the snoot as well. He goes off. Tells me I need to specify and that I asked for it on the side. He’s incorrect and confused again. I can’t eat a snoot unless it’s drowned in sauce so I’m definitely never asking for one sans sauce. 8 hour roundtrip for this foolery. I never raised my voice and was never rude. He doesn’t care. He disrespectful and entitled. I miss the original Red Door!
