Pad Thai was incredible, very generous helping of tofu, sushi is fantastic! I have eaten here multiple times and I thought for sure Id left a much deserved review. Super friendly staff! I frequent this location to deliver online orders and the volume of buisness they receive alone speaks for the quality and experience here!!

Wanted some comfort food while staying in town with a loved one in the hospital and this place delivered! The WV sushi roll was so delicious I ate 4 pieces before I realized it! The hibachi chicken and shrimp entree was well seasoned and the veggies were delicious! Would be very interested in trying more sushi rolls because it tasted so fresh and delicious! There is delivery options available also but the dining area is simple and clean. The staff was very attentive and friendly! Check it out!

Happy to have found this little place in Charleston! It has its own fresh tastes and seasonings that make it stand apart from other express Hibachis. The sushi was excellent along with the steak and shrimp Hibachi dinner. We got the soup, and it was hot and fresh. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. The prices were so great.. Definitely recommend!!!

2 stars instead of 1, only because the cashier and cooks were very friendly and kind. The food itself was not good at all. My husband ordered shrimp drunken noodles, and the container was labeled “shrimp,” but there were no shrimp at all- it was a beef dish, and the sauce tasted like something way different than drunken noodles. I ordered hibachi chicken with less sauce; it was *swimming* in sauce, and the chicken thighs did not have great taste or texture. Also, the miso soup was a weird brown color, and tasted too salty and overall “off.” The price point was very reasonable, if the food had been worthwhile, but it was extremely disappointing.

I have been to Hibachi Express twice. Once to go (hibachi chicken meal) and once to eat in the restaurant. Both times were wonderful! The time I ate in the restaurant I couldn’t decide between the Yum Yum and the West Virginia roll so I ordered both to try. I couldn’t pick a favorite! They were both delicious! If you haven’t yet, give them a try!

Ordered calamari and it was overcooked, tough and chewy. Got the hibachi shrimp and scallops. Very little flavor. The shrimp were mushy. Lots of vegetables come in the hibachi meal, but there was too much liquid in with the shrimp and scallops. The scallops were cooked well. The yum yum sauce was flavorless. I did order a yum yum roll and it was average. Got to eat with chopsticks because that’s all they give you.

Best lunch in town! Under 10 for a hibachi lunch with chicken. Even comes with salad. I love these guys, highly recommended!

Fairly nice Japanese restaurant on the outskirts of Charleston. The sushi tasted good and the order was ready in just a few moments. They’re locked down with Covid, the kitchen in blocked off with plastic and the dining area limited to four people.

Fresh food, great service. We had hibachi steak and shrimp, with wontons and the WV roll. No complaints. All the sauces are prepared on site, fresh and different.
