Today, Saturday, November 8, 2025, was my first time dining at First Choice Chinese Food. The meal was exceptionally flavorful and delicious.

The food is good. Typical American Chinese food carryout restaurant. The chicken wings are crispy and the fried rice is very good. The prices are very reasonable. They have combination plates that are available all the time not just for lunch. You can get two favorites for a good price They do also have a separate lunch combination plate menu.
The atmosphere is quiet. I like to go here and eat in when I want a quiet place. The have four booths. I like to go eat a good meal and read or watch a movie on my phone. Staff is friendly. I will continue to eat here and look forward to trying other menu items.

This was a fail. I had such high hopes because of the location—wrong. The shrimp and broccoli was swimming in brown sauce, the spring rolls tasted frozen, and my noodle dish was pure oil. We trashed it after a few bites. $31 gone.

Rice had no flavor at all , fried and white rice needed favor. The fried rice was also wayyy too light than what I’m use to. The chicken wings were okay also lacked a lot of flavor. Fried wontons were pretty good but I’ve def had better and they were bit on the small and salty side. The one thing that was actually good was the chicken and broccoli that was a good dish. Overall probably going to find a different place for take out

Food is fresh, superior to other carry-outs. The flavors are intense and addictive. Must try it. Their spin on Singapore Rice noodles tastes like street food! Flavors are spot on!

Lived down the road at Ashland for 20 years and ordered from there once a week. It has been 5 years since I ordered from them and was really looking forward to the old food. Everything changed !!!! The food was flavorless, First Choice now sucks????

Order arrived on time. Normally, lunch or early dinner, place normally has pretty decent sized pieces of sesame chicken. However tonight’s fare was really meager. Many of the pieces about the size of a small cluster grains of rice. Its like the crumbs from the entire day. Most pieces are the size of half a cinnamon toast crunch square. And due to being small, most are over cooked and hard/tough. This is usually a go to favorite spot for me. I try to support my local fave spots. But tonight was a rough delivery to support. The white rice is good and sticky, but 17$ for sesame chicken of this quality. Thats a hard hit to anyones face.

We placed our order and sat down to eat in the restaurant, telling them that we would eat there, but our food was placed in takeout containers, which is absolutely NOT why we went to a restaurant.

We got a vegetarian entrée, but the excessive surplus of plastic plastic plastic ruined the meal for us.

As there was no point in sitting in that little space, with obnoxious news blasting on the television, we took our plastic food and found a place nearby to eat outside. That was the best part of the meal.

The food was fine but not memorable. Will not return.
