On my way to Calumet, MI I always stop at Dobbers to pick up pasties. It has been a few years so I was very surprised to see how much the price has risen. The pasties are now $8.10. The size is smaller, and the crust surrounding the pasties was very thick, thicker than I remember. Despite the price, they tasted good. They are still my favorite pastie. However, when I stopped to pickup some on my way back to Wisconsin, the one that I ate in the car had a burned bottom. I have been stopping at Dobbers for over thirty years and will continue to stop at Dobbers, unless the price becomes too high and the pasties too small. In defense of the price, I have told myself that a fastfood meal would be as expensive or more expensive and the pasty is probably more healthy. Overall, I would recommend stopping at Dobbers for a pasty.

Well this is like the McDonald’s of pasties. It meets basic requirements to be called a pastie.
Now after trying most of the pasties in this area i just can’t say this would be a place I would go to at all when there are much better examples of a pastie nearby. I can think of two places that are much better within 5 minutes. (Prime pastie King and Jean Kay’s)
The filling just so plain and sorta dry. The crust is basic as can be flavor wise.
The best thing about Dobbers is it’s hours and they actually follow the hours they post.
So when everyone else is closed then yeah come to Dobber’s. It will hit that pastie spot but there are far superior pasties in the area.

Y’ALL, get these shipped, it’s worth every penny! if you’ve moved from the U.P. make your heart and soul happy…even my adult children were SO pumped to see our pasties arrive I have a fond memory of my grandma Millie making us meat pies on Christmas Eve, and now pasties complete that tradition. good thing I ordered plenty since there’s no way we could wait until Christmas Eve to dive into them. Of course I ordered some Ternary toast just for me ☕️My son wants to try their breakfast pasties so I’ll dive into the reviews on those before I do. As an extra bonus the geek in me was so pleasantly surprised to also receive a picturesque wall calendar, can’t remember the last time I had one but it will be used in 2024. Thanks for that gift Dobbers, and thanks tons for providing shipping to those of us who can’t drive over and grab some goodness whenever we choose ‼️

We each got the hot beef pasty and then a ham and cheese pasty to split – all delicious, would definitely get again! We went through the drive thru, had very friendly service.

One of my top stops for pasties in the UP for a long time running. Great if you want a drive-thru pastie made with care. I almost always get the beef, but they also have chicken, veggie, pizza pasties and breakfast pasties. I love getting a pastie from the drive-thru then going to the park to enjoy, but you can also dine-in in their cute little eatery if you’d like!
They’re also experts at shipping frozen pasties for those of us who don’t live in the UP but want that taste of the 906. They freeze and ship them in a very nice styrofoam container to keep them cold and fresh to your door. Highly recommend.
Get some ketchup to go with it and it’s *chef’s kiss!*

On vacation in the Upper Peninsula. Had 2 try a local favorite! The Pasty @ Dobber’s did not disappoint and neither did the autumn colors of nature’s beauty

An ok pasty for an outrageous price. It cost me almost $25 for 3 hot pasties! It also gave me some nasty heartburn and indigestion which begs the question: “how long has this been under the heat lamp?” Also, I don’t support businesses that don’t support their employees. The disclaimers on the drive thru window tell me all i need to know. “If you have to wait it’s because we’re short staffed and people DoN’t WaNt To WoRk AnYmOrE……blah blah blah” You could also just write that “I’m a bad business owner that doesn’t want to pay my employees enough to make it worth working at this dump,” cuz that’s how it reads.
