Wow. I haven’t had a burger that good in a looong time. I have celiacs and they do have a gluten free bun!! Unfortunately the fries are fried with the chicken fingers so not safe from cross contamination but dont let that stop you from getting a burger! The bun was fine for a gluten free one, better than most maybe but the burgers more than made up for flavor!!

Great spot! Got the pimento burger, chicago dog, and macaroni salad.
The decor and atmosphere is nice. The inside of the place has more seating than you’d think looking at it from the outside.
The dog was very good. Good char on the dog which I enjoy. Macaroni salad was very solid. Burger was extremely well done. It’s a smash burger. Meat is solid. Good amount of pimento cheese. Toppings were fresh. Only small complaint would be that the pickles they use on the burger are those sweet bread and butter pickles which kind of ruined the burger for me, though I could tell that without them it would’ve been a very strong burger. That’s more of a personal preference thing. I’ll just get it without them next time.
Lastly, I tried one of their whoopie pies, which was without a doubt the highlight of the experience. I got the chocolate one. The cake is soft and moist, and the filling is wonderful! I’m not even a big chocolate guy, but this was one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time.
Last thing worth mentioning – the price!! Got everything pictured here for under $20. I’m used to Wilmington prices so this was a breath of fresh air.
Overall great experience. Service was nice too. I will be going here a lot.

Run don’t walk to Pooch’s! Very affordable and local burger / hot dog joint! We got the smash burgers and they were made fresh! I got the pimento burger and there was a generous amount of pimento cheese along with the extras! The French fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and served hot! The inside is clean and the staff was very welcoming and made the overall atmosphere very welcoming. Definitely will be back to try the Chicago hot dog!

I’m always a little hesitant of places with nearly 5.0 stars. It feels like it’s too good to be true?
This place? It’s real. their prices, for the amount of food you get are amazing. I got the basic smash burger and fries and I opened the box, mouth open in shock by how much there was for the price. They use what I think most people deem as the absolute best fries. The crunchy battered ones? The smash burger is way bigger than I thought it was going to be too. Even better? It all tastes amazing. It actually made me sad that I haven’t tried this place sooner. Will definitely be going back.
(We also got a poochie pie and it was a perfect treat to end the meal on.)

We stopped here after a day hiking. The food was great and we really enjoyed their french fries. The menu is small but everything on it is really well done. It’s a very small place but it’s cute in its own way. They had adorable little stuffed animal “taxidermy” on the wall which made us laugh. Would definitely return again if we are ever in that direction.

Delicious, thin burgers with crispy edges–my favorite kind! My only complaint was so small that it didn’t affect my experience: I prefer A1 or BBQ sauce on my burgers (yes, I’m weird) and they didn’t have any. Since my burger was plain, I could tell it was seasoned to PERFECTION, and it wasn’t dry without sauce. The Poochie pie is amazing, fluffy, and surprisingly not overly sweet.
