Had a lovely dinner with my fiancé. The menu was outstanding! The mushroom soup was creamy, warm, and with earthy undertones. Meanwhile the Caesar was bursting with flavor, and the octopus salad kept things vibrant, citrus and crunchy fresh! The pasta dishes (lasagna and ravioli) were definitely hand made and with balanced flavors. Ending with the olive oil cake was the cherry on top. Each dish created was a master piece in its own right!

Madein is the kind of place Bourdain would’ve clocked immediately—no bullshit, no wasted motion, just people who care deeply about what’s on the plate. It’s intimate, unfussy, and quietly confident. The food doesn’t scream for attention; it earns it. Handmade pasta with soul, ingredients treated with respect, flavors that know exactly what they’re doing. You sit, you eat, you drink something strong, and you realize you’re in the hands of cooks who get it. Madein isn’t chasing trends or trying to impress—it’s doing the work. And that’s why it matters.

Wow, this place is incredible! The food was absolutely amazing and delicious, and the service was fantastic. We came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it a special occasion. Highly recommended!

An incredible and memorable dinner – though this was my first time, I immediately felt the love. It’s a place with a simple yet elegant vibe, perfect food, and all-around excellent times.

Went for NYE, they had a few specials, menu is small but varied, something for most people. Small kitchen so there will be a wait, not somewhere for a quick meal. Staff were excellent, food was good, but could have been a bit hotter (i like my food VERY hot). Cocktails were good, will go back again.

Finally!!! Chef/owner Shawn is from NYC and has really done something special here that Reno desperately needed. A truly incredible place to eat – fresh ingredients, layers of flavor, beautiful presentation. For our fellow New York transplants, you’re going to love it here. We ordered the rigatoni, gnocchi, side of meatballs, pepperoni flatbread, three cocktails, and three desserts – every single dish was delicious, rich, and the *quality* was there. This will be our regular spot now.

Fabulous dinner on their beautiful back patio. Hamachi crudo was one of the best things I’ve eaten in Reno. The fazzoletti was a perfect balance between cozy and elegant. I found two iterations of broccoli rabe on their specials menu and I couldn’t have been more delighted. With their house red on tap for $9 a glass, I was a happy girl. No notes!!

I had the pleasure of dining at Madein on a special evening with my date, and to my delight, it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From start to finish, the service was exceptional, warm and attentive.
What really stood out, however, was the food. You could taste the passion and dedication in every bite. The chef, with a Sicilian background, brings the essence of Mediterranean flavors to life in every dish. One standout was the shaved octopus with fennel salad, which transported me straight to the shores of the Mediterranean. It was an extraordinary dish—perfectly balanced and absolutely unforgettable.
If you’re in Reno and looking for a memorable dining experience, Madein is a must-visit. The combination of incredible food, welcoming service, and a true sense of craftsmanship make this a place a new favorite, I’ll definitely be returning.

Wanted to take our elderly parents somewhere else than our normal spot for a change. We live fairly close to the shopping center and are quite familiar with all of the changes that have been going on in that shopping center. Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating. The wines were in our opinion over oriced. The 9.00 by the glass wines were not up to par in taste. And you go straight to 15.00 per glass. In addition wines by the bottle do not offer any advantage starting in the mid 40.00’s. The food does not reach the level for the wine priced this high either. Party of four split one sandwiche and a 2 for one ½ sandwich and small cup of soup. Each with a 9.00 glass of wine totaling 90.00 plus a 10.00 tip for lunch! We waited thirty for our food. The porcini soup was quite expensive considering it’s not all porcini mushrooms the color is way too dark yet the price if 14.00 for large bowl of mixed mushrooms is way too high no sherry fresh herbs etc. Just saying there are options in town for 14.00 for a bowl of soup that are doing better. I wouldn’t say it’s an Italian restaurant really. Sandwiches served on focaccia bread just cold not on a panini Grill either. Dining area is quite small and either the sound carries are we had some hackler’s at their tables. We can do better at home but at least we finally tried it, is all we can say.

Impeccable !!

Went to MadeIn for a Saturday date night and it blew our already high expectations!

Informative waitstaff who were fun and kind. We started off with some delicious cocktails – very decently priced and very tasty. Nothing too sweet and great liquor value.

We then had the Crudo and Focaccia bread for our appetizers. Just amazing. The crudo is a fantastic flavor pairing of Italian flavors and elite quality fish. Can not miss! The focaccia was very light, perfect with the tomato and cheese.

The jumbo spinach ravioli was absolutely incredible. Comforting but great blend of flavors. Love the texture change of the squash and the puree. Such a fan!

The lasagna is the perfect portion of comfort and taste. Tomato pops!

HUGE hats off to the owner and head chef. Nothing disappoints and is a great value.

100% will be back!
