Cute place
Had decent pati seating
Rajes a little while as they seem very busy
But worth the wait! So good and fresh
I had the traditional and my partner had the bugulgi
Both were delicious
Same with the boba drinks!
Can’t wait to try more items from this place

Hungry and tired of Burritos and Burgers, I stumbled across Banh Mi Zon just off 101 near the Civic Center. The building doesn’t look like anything special but inside you’ll see a sleek stainless steel clad kitchen and fancy flat screen menus – kinda fancy! The food matches the snappy looking interior. I had the Banh Mi BBQ pork Vietnamese sandwich on freshly made french baguettes warmed with crispy/flaky crust, stuffed with a vinegar slaw with carrots, cilantro, jalapeno, and of course the tasty thinly sliced BBQ pork. Delish! I got my wife the vermicelli salad also with the BBQ pork, and there was so much food, she now has leftovers for her lunch tomorrow. They will have hot pot dinners to go, which I will try next, but its a great find!

The first bahn mi sandwich I had was in San Francisco was about 5 years ago. (2014) It was my first experience eating a Vietnamese sandwich. Although I don’t remember the name of the place I ordered from, I do remember the sandwich being very delicious. Very fresh. Very filling, and a flavor of it’s own. I left really satisfied and thinking Bahn mi is something I can’t wait to try back in Marin where I live . I didn’t realize this was going to be such a hard task. The first time I saw the Bahn mi zon food truck parked near my work I was hooked. I would get a different sandwich for my lunch once a month or even every other week. I have since tried other Vietnamese sandwiches around loacal. They are all good. But lacking an authentic flavour. I knew Bahn Mi Zon had just opened recently and finally decided to give them a shot. The place was so clean and the menu had bowl options if you don’t want a sandwich. Thai tea which I ordered and enjoyed greatly. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly. The sandwich was exactly what I was expect from an authentic Bahn mi. (I got the Traditional) Very delicious sandwich. Worth the price. Very filling and if your feeling extra hungry, you have options to add extras. I am looking forward to my next trip back to try different sandwich or a different item. YUM!

Yum! I got the vermicelli salad with teriyaki chicken and it was delicious and huge! All ingredients tasted fresh and service was speedy. Will definitely be my new lunch spot!
Seating is not abundant, but you could go across the street to the civic center and find a nice picnic table there.

Clean, friendly and informative staff. Ok. The food was delicious. We ordered 6 banh mi sandwiches. They also have boba, and ice coffee. No complaints here. Cute spot. Outdoor sitting and side parking. Will be returning here for the delicious food.

We came down from sacramento and were in the area so decided to try this place. On the website it says they allow dogs, this is not true. we had to leave our dogs in the car which thank god it was super cold outside. now, this is a pastry, banh mi, pho, rice bowl, and boba spot. Restaurants like this sketch me out because they don’t specialize in one particular thing so how can you know their food is good? We ordered their pho. rice bowl. and boba. They automatically put all of the vegetables (basil, bean sprouts, jalapeños) in the pho for you, this is not said on the menu at all. my prob ended up tasting super herbal, the brisket also seems like fake meat? it breaks apart into little squares and taste soo off. their boba and thai tea is BOMB along with the rice bowl!

This is not Vietnamese soup. Fake, looks a little similar. It looks like Russian chicken soup, which for some reason added chopped chili peppers. And the lemonade is delicious.

The first Banh Mi Zon restaurant to open in Marin – and oh my God – is it ever good! I got the beef bulgogi with fried egg – and all the toppings (pickled daikon, cucumber, cilantro, etc). French bread was soft on the inside and crispy crust – just how it’s supposed to be. The flavors were spot on. If you live in or near this spot and haven’t been – you are seriously missing out.
I also ordered a Vietnamese coffee – a staple.
And yes. Pho is on the menu.
This is a must try spot.

Since this place opened over a year ago, I’ve probably been there 30 times. The quality of the Banh Mi sandwiches has been consistently great and they are the best I’ve ever had. I rotate between the barbecued pork, beef bulgogi, and chicken teriyaki. The photo is of the chicken teriyaki banh mi. The large roll was loaded with chicken (more than is evident in the photo) and Pickled Carrots, Daikon, Jalapeños, Cucumber, and Cilantro.
