Stopped by California Tortilla for a quick lunch. Good spot for a fast lunch in L’Enfant Plaza. The line moves way faster than other nearby places. The food was okay—nothing to celebrate, but definitely not awful. It stood out in the plaza because the line was much shorter than the other spots, which was a huge plus for getting in and out quickly.
I had the nachos; they were decent for the price, though not the best I’ve ever had. Customer service was good and the seating area was clean.
Side note: There was not much on the “Wall of Flame”, so I didn’t try any sauces.

Pretty good spot for lunch, they offer tofu as a protein for vegetarian folks. Service is okay even though someone in the back was talking trash in Spanish about my choice of toppings, perhaps the employees should take into consideration that a lot of non-hispanic people are fluent in Spanish and can understand them. I doubt it was intended maliciously but still isn’t good customer service.

The food was good, but the overall experience and customer service was lacking. Be prepared for very long lines during the lunch hour, that move slowly. Ordering was difficult due to how loud it was. Our food was promptly prepared, and served accurately. Overall good tasting too, but I likely wouldn’t return due to the lack of friendly staff.

Well this is the first time we have seen a California Tortilla. Looking at the menu, we decided to try it. The family has a new favorite spot. The food was excellent, service was good. The restaurant was very clean and well kept. I had one of the limited time shrimp bowels. It was sweet, hot and very delicious. Everyone else’s meals were good as well

Unprofessional, unfriendly, horrible service and food. The employees taking our order was not paying attention and entered the wrong food. When I explained that they made a mistake they made fun of the situation and us with the other workers and made us feel uncomfortable!

California Tortilla is a quick-service, Tex-Mex restaurant. The service was fast and friendly. There were several food options for a variety of diets. The fish tacos were delicious, and my kids enjoyed building their own bowls. In a food court with a lot of less healthy, options, California Tortilla offered something better for everyone.

I’ve been going to Cal Tort since they began in Montgomery County so I’m all versed in their wares. I made an order on Mar 4 at this location. Firstly, the tables and floors were filthy. Secondly, with three staff members on the line, I understand some slowness but everyone’s order, including mine, was slow. Then they missed items and in a friendly attempt to get the worker to apply what I paid for, I was told I needed to pay for it. On principle, I would not. The employee, a Latino/Hispanic man, got huffy with me and said he knows his system. But I saw his colleague make the bowl. The item was missing and I just wanted it. This was a hellish experience and the first time I’ve ever been this poor. Skip this place

From the reviews, nothing has changed. Nobody at this location wants to be working here. They were very irritated that there were customers in the store and were very slow and rude about taking the order and preparing the food. I ordered a fajita bowl. I ordered chicken, although there was only a couple pieces of chicken left, that’s all he gave me. I was afraid to say anything because everyone looked like they were suicidal in the store. They absolutely did not want to be here. The store should be shut down or reconsider employee training if they want to stay in business. Do not go here. I will never go to a California tortilla again. Have a very poor business.

The food was good but the order was completely messed up. The people preparing the order acted like they could care less if the order was right. There were no toppings on the tacos, no salad dressing , and no side sauce for the steak bowl. I recommend you hiring people that care and have great customer service. 10/12/19. Oder number 257. FYI the cashier was on target.
