We had a great time reuniting with old friends here tonight. We arrived by boat, had a very short wait on a Friday night at 7pm, entering a busy restaurant. The short line and the customer orders were very well organized by a young blonde lady running the register. The place was clean, had a great Energy and the staff was attentive and helpful, even though seemingly short handed for the dinner rush (delivery of food was not perfect, and came out as it came out, and I had to excuse myself to help expedite our food order to our table due to the business volume surrounding our order, and the staff expediting seemingly being in the weeds). After all, We enjoyed the food, once it all finally came out, it took approximately 40 minutes… Regardless, It’s great to have Mack Pie food on the lake. For possible improvements, my friend thought the willow Creek bread was odd (thickness/texture looked funny), not what they were used to. I had a Cobb salad which consisted mostly of a leafy weed like lettuce spring mix (not romaine/red leaf) which was inedible due to the lettuce stalks and weed like textures left behind in my bowl (see the photo I posted). Otherwise everything was on point, prices seemed fair, and the place is way better than the alternative options around the lake. We all appreciated the full bar and having the luxurious atmosphere paired with Mackenzie River menu favorites. This place is well worth the visit by car or boat and if there is a wait for seats or food… Stay, you will not regret it in hindsight. Kudos to those that came up with this special concept. I enjoyed reminiscing about the last 30 years of Mackenzie River experience here in the valley while enjoying this establishment. Thank you for having us. B$

We were at our neighborhood beach and wandered over. The pizza was good and came out quickly. Everyone is very nice and helpful… I marked down on service slightly because the food and beverages are two different orders, which is mildly annoying. But, honestly, it was very peaceful for a late lunch, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. I’ve heard that there can be some slow service, but we did not experience that at all. Thanks for a fun experience, MRP!

Honestly not impressed by this place anymore. We have been pretty consistent regulars this summer and somehow things have progressively gotten worse as the summer went on. Isn’t it supposed to be the opposite? The food took 3-5 business days to arrive, it all came at different times, somehow the salads came last, people in my party were waiting around while the rest of the party ate. It was honestly a mess. The manager seemed lost and was really rude with us when we complained about our food issues. She didn’t seem to have any interest in making things better, or offering us something in return for our dislike of the service. The only redeeming factor was the bartender Rio! This dude is a gem! Love the patio setting and the boat up access but honestly this place has gone downhill fast as the summer progressed. Hopefully they can get better staff and management for the next season or we’re going to have to visit the raven a lot more often

Edited- we have since gone back and I’m not sure what changed here but the atmosphere is really off-putting. The food took forever. Idk have to change my review due to the inconsistency.
August 2025- We stopped by this cool hidden gem today. The atmosphere was really awesome, with shaded outside seating it was really nice to cool off a little.
Our food was absolutely delicious, and our service was top notch! I highly recommend this place.
We had pizza, which is a given. We also had rollinos and a salad. Everything was so good!

Great spot and the pizza is great. Service is awful. Ordered chicken Caesar wrap, hot Hawaiian pizza. Kid without a word “ambles over to the table and drops a closed to go container covered with reddish orange finger prints with the word curry on it. I say “I don’t think that’s mine. He comes back a few minutes later and says yes it’s the chicken Cesar wrap. About 8 min later my son asks me to add the pretzels and dip. So I go back and add them. I say the Caesar wrap came several minutes ago so I assume the pizzas coming. Girl says “yeah”. About 5 minutes later same kid drops the pretzels with no word about the pizza. I say I assume the pizzas coming? About a minute or two later he comes back with it and drops some paper plates at the far end of the table where we all have to get up to get to them. Fun times!

There were eight of us with three orders at the counter. Each meal came out one at a time. Most were cold, two were very hot. A pizza had obviously been sitting for quite some time. Two meals were forgotten. It was rough. Hopefully just one off night.

Until recently I did not know there was a McKenzie in Woods Bay. I was excited to stop in for lunch. I was greeted by Chris, the GM and he was really helpful and left us feeling so welcome! Will definitely be visiting when family comes to town. What a cool spot.

The moment you walk into this place and see nothing but smiles, laughter, and good vibes—you just know you’re in the right spot…or at least that’s what I thought when I first went there. The last few times I went it was extremely disappointing. People running around not knowing where to take food. Very short staffed and very short fused employees as they are over worked. Really sad to see this place go down hill. Definitely won’t go back.

Ordered Thai chicken pizza. First time out, it arrived minus chicken. Sent it back. 2nd time out, it was missing the peanuts and was burned. Will try again as there are so few options in the area, but wish I would have just eaten at home.

Waited for about 5 minutes to get seated but was never acknowledged. While waiting I saw two pizzas that were cooked and ready to be served just sitting on the counter while the two kitchen people tried to avoid eye contact. Finally after about five minutes the guy ran out of space to stage another pizza so he delivered it with no haste or confidence. We left because we saw the writing on the wall.
