Cute family owned spot. I wish the food was better though. We ordered tortas, a few tacos and some aguas frescas. Tortas would have tasted way better if the bread was toasted. The meats (carnita & al pastor) had pretty good flavor. For the tacos we ordered barbacoa, birria and chorizo. It all had a very strong cumin flavor. The tacos were also pretty small for their price. The mango agua frescas tasted like a mix of mango powder and mango juice. The horchata had a weird bitter after taste. So disappointed since everything smelled soooooooo good. Maybe we went on an off day but we won’t be returning. They did have pretty good salsa. Lol! The salsa verde was my favorite.

I deducted only one star because the agua fresca, mango flavor did not have mango pulp (like normal aguas) and had zero flavor. It was more like Jumex juice, mixed with water, no flavor and hardly any sugar.
The 4 taco fajita plate with refried beans and rice is so good! Yes they are small but they are so full of flavor. Everything in their menu looks good. I will have to go back and try something else. Probably take it to go, cuz the place is small. By the way, it is a bit pricey but everything is so expensive nowadays.

These are the best tacos around the area. The other food they offer is also excellent. They do have a small market where you can pick up seasoned meats and other things. These are some very friendly ladies and they work hard.

This place is so good. The breakfast burrito is huge and delicious! My favorite thing to get are the quesa barria tacos but, the street tacos are also so good and plenty of meat to make 2 out of them if you choose. Definitely recommend!

First of all this place gets a 5 out 5 in clean, it’s a very clean place, tables, floors and the bathroom very clean. They have lots of snacks to choose from, Mexican products chips, candy and much more. I’ve tried the agua de Jamaica and it was a 5 out of 5 really good. I had the quesa birria Tacos with consome. Tacos it’s a 3 out of 5 little meat and small tortilla. The consome has a little too much grease but was much better then another place I went to. Consome a 3 out of 5. I’d go again to try the other aguas frescas and maybe another plate, but I do recommend the place is super clean and very nice service.

So I tried their food for the first time. I have reviewed many different restaurants in-town and out of town.
However, the food was descent. A little more of a TexMex taste to me though.
Now my reason not being a 4-star, is because the price. All I got was 4 MINI tacos (not the large tortillas either) with a small scoop of rice and beans (beans topped with cheese). I also ordered a agua fresca. Meaning it’s a freshly made drink. Horchata was the flavor. I usually know when it’s powdered based and a really made out of rice. I’m almost positive this place makes their out of the powdered mix. That being said. The meal in my humble opinion for Mabank, Texas being a low-income small town. Cost me $12 plus tax. The drink another $4 and some change plus tax. Totaling $18. Now keep in mind these are mini tacos and they aren’t really authentic. Descent and they look good too. With a 20% tip it totaled out to be $22 and some change.
A bit on the higher end for the quality of food and seating area for a not-so-much restaurant style seating as well. I feel like the price should be $9.99 for this meal without a drink. Not $12 plus tax. I know a few locals that have similar meals but actually have restaurant seating and restaurant services like waitresses.
If it wasn’t the cost, it definitely would be a 4-star. Employees see extremely pleasant though. Kind and nice. I will still come back for the service and maybe not order their food but purchase items form their grocery side of the business.

It tastes more tex mex to me. But it’s good. Love that the fajita tacos tastes like skirt steak and has good flavor The only thing I didn’t really like was the beans tasting like canned beans. The corn was good too. Would go again.

food was great. the prices on the menu do not reflect what the they actually charge you. i order 2 breakfast burritos and 2 coke. on the menu the burritos are 5.99 the total come out to 27.99 and when i asked why it was so high, i was told that they increased the prices but not on the menu.
