I remember when my mother would bring me here as a child when they had waitresses to come and take your order. Oh how I miss the good ol’ days. Now, I wouldn’t eat out of here if they were giving away the food. Health department need to come and close the doors permanently.

This restaurant has been a mainstay eatery for many years in downtown Newark. They offer an extensive hot/cold self-serve buffet (by the pound) or you can order a meal at the counter from their extensive diner type menu. Sit down to eat at one of their many tables or take-out. Counter service is friendly and efficient and the dining area is clean and spacious. Prices are comparable for the area and meal serving size is filling. The entrance is handicap accessible and there is metered street or pay/lot parking.

It was clean. Had the pancakes for $3.50 and they were nice size. The buffet was ready and everything looked clean and fresh. I had some fruit. I hate to peal fruit so I was happy to see all kinds of fruit all ready to eat. Pealed and fresh. No old fruit. Had the tres leche cake and it was great! My 2nd time here and loved it and the veriety they offer. Food is hot too. 5 thumbs up!
