I recently visited Lula Maes Gardin, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best experiences of flavor I’ve had in a long time! The food is absolutely delicious and every bite was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. You can really tell that quality and freshness are a top priority here.
What makes the experience even more special is the friendly staff. They make you feel right at home or at Grandmas house.
Whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch or meal to feed the family, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend!

I see I’m the first one here so let me set the tone with an honest review for what you’re in for.
First, maybe it’s my fault for ordering from this location inside of a skating rink because what I got was skating rink caliber food. I thought I was ordering from the other location. My bad!
I can’t believe she opened another location where she apparently has not improved on her business practices. I have eaten at the other location and waited over an hour for my order. The food was STAMP just like Schlim said, but the wait is just ludicrous. So the couple times I went there after I just packed my patience.
This evening I needed to grab some food quickly before heading to an event. I had no idea what I wanted. Open up the app and LMG popped up so I placed an order. They pay zero attention to their orders coming in. They apparently can barely deal with the orders in front of them. When I arrived, almost an hour after I placed the order, they said they needed a “couple minutes” after she went over and finally looked at it. That couple minutes turned into an hour. The woman behind the counter apologized and tried to offer me a drink. The same drink I ordered and paid for. At that point I just wanted to go.
Got home and opened the food. As long as it took, you would have thought it was freshly cooked. It looks like it had been sitting around all day. The gumbo greens were the most disappointing. They burned it and had the nerve to serve it to me as if I wouldn’t notice. I have it sitting here with the lid on, the burnt smell keeps smacking me in the face. The oxtail egg rolls did not taste freshly cooked. After I started eating the second one, I found these cooked inside. It’s not edible. It’s some kind of plastic.
The turkey wings and Mac and cheese were barely edible. Especially the mac and cheese.I have eaten before at their other location and despite the extra long wait there too, the food was fresh and tasted great. So I was expecting food that would make it worth the wait. This time, they had the nerve to make me wait on barely edible food. Food that absolutely belonged inside of the bowling alley it’s located in. Extremely disappointing. I won’t ever be going back. I don’t give my hard earned money to restaurants that waste my time and serve slop containing plastic to add insult to injury.

I live in the area and this take-out restaurant was listed as a nearby option. I love trying new food spots so I was immediately intrigued after reading the menu. I ordered the salmon Philly wrap, the granny rolls and a side of mac and cheese. I must say I was truly impressed! The food was absolutely delicious! Everything was hot and very obviously fresh. The salmon Philly wrap is extremely flavorful, packed with fish. The mac and cheese was bomb! Cheesy with a very savory balance. Not too salty, yet not bland at all! The granny rolls hit the spot as well! The combination of the mac and cheese, yams and greens came together nicely. The sauce drizzled on top was a nice addition. My suggestion would be to put the sauce was on the side in a small container so the egg roll can maintain its crispiness. Other than that I have no complaints of the food! To complement the great food you all are serving to the community, please value customer service and a warm embrace to first timers! I’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

This place is amazing. With so many options it’s difficult to just pick 2. Honey lemon pepper wings, grilled seafood/spinach, and the seafood salad is official. The can’t decide platter that gives you lamb chops, 2 sides, crab cake, wings and fish. Strawberry banana pudding was insane. The service was fast, patient, and friendly. Definitely going back!

What a neighborhood gem! The food here is so tasty and well seasoned. We shared the sampler platter that had 5 proteins, and every single one was cooked perfectly and tasted so good. The service was very warm and friendly, as you would expect from a true soul food restaurant. I will definitely be going back, I want to try everything on this menu.

Every now and then I come up on a spot that’s a gem…a diamond in the rough…a spot that’s exceptional. Well on this day…THAT HAPPENED!! This Soul filled Soulfood food truck has delectable vittles that made my day, you hear me!! Yesterday was my 1st time at LuLaMae.it wasn’t what I expected. I ordered the fried basket it taste old,the fried food wasn’t crispy.and it was wayyyyyy tooooo much seasoning..the peach tea crack was ok also my fries were so soggy after being underneath the old fried food. Now the conversation with the staff was for sure a 5⭐️ but the food I have to give it a 3⭐️..I say that to say I’ll probably return but just to try their sides because a few people that ordered behind me were on ordering side..so I think I will try again but not any time soon
