I was headed over the bridge to have lunch and saw the “NOW OPEN” sign and decided to give them a try. This place is tucked away in the Truck Stop building and is truly a hidden jewel. I ordered the shrimp and fish combo. It came with 2 sides. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. I can’t wait to return and try their burgers.

Gotta say. This place is awesome! We are in town a couple days early for a cruise. We were doing some exploring and found this place. We hadn’t been in the New Orleans area in a few years. We were craving some true authentic Po Boys. Sams didn’t disappoint! We found this needle in a haystack through google.
When we pulled in we noticed it was attached to a gas station. We come from Tennessee so that doesn’t scare us off. But we were honestly still a little Leary.
There were 5 of us. We ordered 3 shrimp po boys, 1 steak and cheese, and my daughter is picky so she got the wings.
Holy cow!!!! The shrimp was on point. My son said it was the best steak in cheese he’d ever had. And my daughter said the wings were awesome. The fries were seasoned and tasted great. To me that is a win. The service was great and super friendly.
Check this place out. It’s worth it. My family will definitely be back.

We purchased a fish poboy this evening and it is the best we have ever had in Louisiana. Don’t be discouraged by their limited number of reviews- they are just new! You have to try their food! The owners are very nice and the place is super clean! The food is fresh and delicious. We can’t wait to return.

It was a Friday Evening… Bourbon St. was raging, I couldn’t tell up from down, and it happened… my belly started rumbling. My brother was driving back to my hotel when we stopped for gas and came in to grab some food. Turns out it was there opening week, so just time.
