Flavors and portion sizes are accurate and well defined. In particular the quality of the food is a measure well beyond many other casual dining establishments in Athens. I have always been greeted with a smile by the hostess working the counter and dine-in service is always on par. The atmosphere is very relaxed, there is music playing outside with tables and chairs for a comforting patio feel. Cash and Jack’s quickly became one of my favorites on the East side of town. Not only for the flavors, the price point, the location, etc. but for just the slightest amount of elegance that goes into the food.

Cash and Jack’s is a counter service restaurant with some seating for dining in. The grilled steak strips were delicious, and the fries were like a curly steak fry and seasoned well. The grilled broccoli was also really good. The loaded brisket sweet potato fries were also really good. They were covered in brisket, bacon, cheese, ranch, and barbeque sauce. The food and service were awesome.

Great menu with atypical choices like the Salmon BLT and Tex Mex Bowl.
This is the best newish place to eat in Athens. The food is prepared fresh and everything I’ve tried so far has been outstanding. The only drawback is the insufficient inside seating during the lunch rush.
I highly recommend Cash & Jack’s.

Had a wonderful meal here. I had a salad and my husband had a burger. Their fries are amazing. We both had a fountain drink with our food and the total was $29 before tip.
Going to come back for sure.
It loses a star because inside almost all the tables are bar height with tall stools. Wish it had been nice enough to eat outside.

I ordered the dbl bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. Every time I have eaten here the food is great. The young ladies and gentlemen that work there are always nice and pleasant. Great atmosphere to enjoy a meal inside or on the patio.

I stopped by on my way to Tennessee for lunch and had a good experience here. Atmosphere is nice. The restaurant is very clean. Service was very friendly too.
I got the Turkey Avo Press with fries. It was really good. Everything was flavorful and tasted nice and fresh. My partner got the grilled steak strips with broccoli and fries. They said the steak was cooked right but could use some seasoning but the fries and broccoli were well seasoned.
Very nice lunch spot! Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.
