Social Profile:

MOGUMOGU has officially reopened as WADAYA! Mazemen is a delicious Japanese ramen dish without any broth. It is usually served on a thick ramen with minced pork that is flavored in chili pepper and garlic-treated soy sauce. “Mazemen” literally translates to “mixed noodles” in English. So you really have to mix the noodles well in order to eat it properly. After all the noodles are eaten it is a Japanese tradition to add a scoop of white rice into the mix that is left in the bowl. This is called “Oi-Meshi.” And it is a new and tasty way to finish your meal! Additional ingredients such as Japanese leeks, fish powder, poached eggs, seaweed flakes, and scallions are also part of the fun. Mix all of them well and enjoy a whole new spin on ramen!

Wadaya Mazeman in Fullerton is an absolute gem. The food is consistently amazing—bold flavors, perfectly cooked noodles, and every dish tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. You can tell real care goes into the food here.

The service is just as impressive. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. Orders come out quickly, everything is presented beautifully, and they genuinely make you feel appreciated as a customer.

If you’re a fan of rich, savory, crave-worthy food, this place is a must-try. Great food, great service, and an all-around great experience every time. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I wish I would have discovered this place sooner but super delicious spicy miso ramen!! The plaza it’s in is a little hidden if you’re coming at night – I will definitely be returning – super friendly staff and clean welcoming space – they have a happy hour during the week delicious!!

Good dry noodle place. Came here for lunch on the weekend and not many people inside. The plaza is mostly empty and kind of in an isolated area.

Tastes similar to other popular dry noodle places I’ve had, but less crowded and noisy. Definitely would recommend for people looking for a good noodle place in the area.

Compared to their previous name they give you more sauce to mix the noodles in with, but it felt too watery to hold onto the ingredients at the end of the meal. As a result the rice they gave me just kinda swam in the sauce and was too salty to eat. The portion size was just enough to keep me full. Also, if you spend $50 before tax you get to roll the gacha machine to see if you can win a free appetizer, discounts, or coupons for your next visit.

Great food, and I felt well taken care of by the staff, who greeted me immediately. I appreciated the separate vegan section on the menu, and the toppings on my noodles were unconventional yet very satisfying. I had never tried mazamen, the type of noodles they specialize in, before, but it was great to try something new and not sacrifice flavor at all! I highly recommend this place.

Wadaya Mazemen in Fullerton hits that perfect sweet spot between comforting, creative, and straight up craveable. The moment you walk in, you feel that cozy, low key ramen shop vibe, but the food comes out with serious personality.

The mazemen bowls are the star rich, silky, and packed with flavor without ever feeling heavy. The noodles have that perfect chew, and every topping feels intentional, not just thrown on. If you like bold flavors, their spicy options deliver heat with balance, not just burn. Portions are generous, prices feel fair, and the staff keeps things moving with friendly energy.

It’s one of those spots where you finish your bowl and immediately think, “Yeah I’m coming back.” Perfect for a quick lunch, a casual dinner, or a comforting solo meal that hits the spot every time.

I hadn’t heard of brothless Ramen before, but I’m really glad I did – especially since it’s the summer!

The deluxe mazeman is so beyond delicious. The more you mix, the better it tastes. Once the toppings and vinegar is all combined, the noodles are well sauced, and this is seriously so beyond flavorful!!

We also absolutely absolutely loved their Fullerton exclusive gyoza and the popular Mogu chicken as well. And then for dessert, we were so happy to see that they even offer taiyaki and Matcha cheesecake!

Make sure you check in on Yelp for one free spicy chili sauce! I actually dumped this entire sauce into my ramen bowl, and it gave the soup an extra umph!

Parking: I believe this is their newest location. They’re located in a newly-built plaza down the street from CSUF. There’s plenty of free parking in the lot.

Ambiance/Environment: We visited on a Saturday around @13:30, not realizing their last call is @14:45. They close for a couple hours to prepare for dinner, and reopen @17:30. This spot is great for large groups. Plenty of indoor seating. No outdoor seating.

Service: Shout out to our server Kristen! She made us feel welcome, and we didn’t feel rushed at all. The cooks were quick and efficient. We received our orders under 10 minutes. After dining, you pay at the register.

What we ordered: We dined for a total of 3 persons.

1) Gyoza – This came with 5 pieces. Much smaller than I thought, but these were absolutely delicious. It was filled with pork and chicken and paired well with the sauce.

2) Mogu Chicken – My cousin ordered this as an appetizer. These were so mouth watering. Perfectly fried and crispy. Don’t forget to dip it in the sauce for extra flavor.

3) Karaage Bowl – My partner ordered this rice dish. Mogu chicken, rice, scallions, sriracha mayo. He felt there could’ve been more Mogu chicken because there was a lot of leftover rice. Though, he still enjoyed it.

4) Tokyo Mazemen – My cousin ordered this dish. For those who don’t know, Mazemen is a Japanese, noodle, broth-less dish served with oil and toppings. This specifically contained spicy minced pork, poached egg, scallions, chives, minced garlic, fish umami, seaweed flakes. They also had instructions on how to properly eat Mazemen on their menus and walls. They later brought a tiny bowl of rice. My cousin loved this dish! It wasn’t too salty, and everything paired well together.

5) Spicy California Tonkotsu – I ordered a ramen bowl. This contained pork, chicken broth, sliced pork chashu, scallions, soft boiled egg, woodear mushroom, seaweed. It wasn’t spicy until I dumped the entire spicy chili sauce in. The soup was flavorful afterwards. They were generous with the toppings, but I wish it had more than 2 pieces of pork.

Pricing: I think we can all agree this inflation is wild. At this point, $$$ is considered the average price range now. We were able to share everything between the 3 of us. Portions were definitely fulfilling. We’d come back to try the happy hour.

Everything is so delish! We have the deluxe mazemen, which is mixed ramen with pork chashu, soft boiled egg, fish umami, and more mixed together. We also have the California tonkotsu ramen, the broth is very flavorful and creamy.

For appetizers we have the Mogu chicken ( so crisp! ) and the agedashi takoyaki, first time trying it and it is soaked like the agedashi tofu. It’s soft, chewy and delish! We also have the uji matcha cheesecake for dessert.

I think my favorite one is the deluxe mazemen, it mixed a lot of flavors together.

Service is friendly and food comes out 10-15 minutes which is great. Recommend this place!

This is a quaint, little place! I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, some Gyoza, and the Uji Matcha cheesecake for dessert. I ate everything except for the cheesecake pretty quickly. The ramen bowl is generous and filling. Enjoyed the cheesecake with a bit of ice cream on the side. The ice cream complimented the matcha perfectly! I want to try the Mazemen next time!
