The most mediocre Chinese food I’ve had recently — for better or for worse. The Orange Chicken and Fried Rice were incredibly unremarkable. Which, is, better than some Chinese food. Nothing was overly greasy or fatty, but nothing was flavorful either.

I ordered a Mongolian Beef combo plate on July 31, 2024. I was tempted to get food elsewhere after I ordered my food and was told that it would come to $12 and some change. I have never spent more than $10 for a combo plate, but I had already given my order and I thought I’d give China King a try since they switched to new management. I was asked what side I wanted to go with my combo plate and I told the lady taking my order that I wanted an egg roll. I waited for approximately 10 minutes while they cooked my food and boxed it up to go. Once I got to my destination and popped open the top of the container my food was in, I was surprised to see the smallest portion size of food I’ve ever received from a Chinese restaurant. To make matters worse, the Mongolian beef did not look like what I was used to, I was given a spring roll instead of an egg roll, and I was disappointed that I paid $12 for what I got.
I called the restaurant to ask if they were out of egg rolls since that’s what I ordered but got something different. The woman, who I assume is one of the owners, said they did have egg rolls. I asked if they sold spring rolls as egg rolls, and she said they had both. So I explained to her that I had just ordered food from there 20 minutes before, and a spring roll came with my dinner plate instead of an egg roll. She told me that egg rolls were a side option and they hadn’t run out of them that day, but she couldn’t tell me why she gave me something other than what I ordered. Trust me, I asked her and she just kept repeating that they had both egg rolls and spring rolls. I told her that I ordered an egg roll, which she remembered, but she gave me a spring roll anyway.
I will never eat at China King again based on the price of the combo meals, the portion size, the Mongolian beef that didn’t taste like Mongolian beef, giving me whatever side they felt like giving me, and the customer service.

This is my favorite Chinese Restaurant in the area. They have the same great tasting fried rice like I used to get as a kid in Kirkwood. The staff is very accommodating and friendly and the food is always cooked with pride

My go to place for Orange chicken.
Ordered a Large orange chicken and white rice with an order of pot stickers.
I received a very small amount of white rice and a thimble full of sauce for the stickers. I’m not sure if there was confusion, but I’m gonna need more white rice and sauce.
With that said, everything tasted great. Just don’t skimp on the cheap sides.

Disappointed with this China King. I think new management took over and now the food doesn’t taste anything like the China King chain. Crab Rangoon was small and tasted old. Chicken and Broccoli meal was awful. I wanted to just pitch it, but it was the only thing I had for dinner and didn’t feel like leaving my house again. This place was super expensive with small portions that didn’t taste good at all. It was over $16 for a small combo meal with 2 egg rolls. Staff were friendly, but I wouldn’t want to revisit this location. It’s definitely not what it used to taste like!

Today’s fine-in General Tso was both beautiful and DELICIOUS. I had to wait a little bit but everything was so very fresh, the portions were generous, and I was pleasantly surprised that the breaded chicken breast was crispy under the heavy sauce. Focus is on friendly service and a treat of a meal.

I forgot to take pictures before devouring my food. I ordered chicken wings and 2 chicken egg rolls. My husband ordered Mongolian beef with white rice, everything was delicious!
The chicken wings were fresh, well seasoned and had the perfect crisp.
They weren’t that busy but had a few customers waiting.
The lady who took my order was very friendly.
I would definitely return.
