I love Thai Shack East as it’s one of the few places in the area with delicious Thai food. For this visit on Sunday March 2, I went with my friend who is a pescatarian.
We each got yummy soups, shared an appetizer and our main course of shrimp over rice. My only observation, which is an opportunity for improvement is the lack of shrimp in the main dish. For some reason it’s mainly everything else and just a few pieces of the best stuff, I had asked for more one occasion prior and it was baby shrimp which didn’t really add any flavor.
I strongly suggest 1-2 more shrimp per dish even if it is reflected on the price.
The restroom is also spacious, clean and accessible! The location itself is a great use of space and the shopping center has lots of stores so you can make an afternoon out of it!

Dear followers and review seekers. This is one of my most honest true reviews. If you look at my profile, you can see that I have and will travel the world for new and delicious food . This please a one of the worst fast food, eat in food, take out food that I have ever consumed. I ordered Thai chicken wings, the worst ever. I order chicken wings everywhere I dine because it is something that is easy to make and season if you care about the food you serve, Horrible!!! Next on the menu, the triple pad Thai noodles, no favor on any of the ingredients in that dish, so I guess they believe to make it Thai, they added fish sauce. Fish sauce has a strong smell that is used improperly. i smell disgusting. We had a few other dishes. It was terrible. Please stay clear of this place. Never had this type of disappointment at a restaurant

My favorite Thai spot!! We usually get take out but every time we ate in we were impressed with the service. The lady at the front desk is friendly and so welcoming! The food is amazing. My go tos are: green curry with chicken and chicken drunken noodles…last time we ate there I tried the glass noodles with tofu. The fried chicken wings appetizer is addictive. Clean, no frills spot…love their Thai iced tea also!

Friendly staff and good food. Feels way better to eat in there than a Chinese food place (I know not the same food but if you go you’ll understand why I compared) will be back – lady in the front super sweet!

Wow. Just wow!!! This place and its food is amazing. We have been going to another place for years but it was further away and cash only. Having passed by this many times we decided tonight was the night to order. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Thank you for your amazing service and even more amazing food!! Can’t wait to try more of the menu, tonight we started with Thai Tea, spring rolls, chicken satay , Drunken Noodles with beef and chicken pad Thai! My wife and kids LOVED it!!!!

Ordered takeout and everything was delicious! The portions were great and the food was still so hot even after we drove home. The beef in our drunken noodle was so tender! The Thai tea was great too. Will definitely be coming back!

Thai food is one of my favorite indulgences. There are many admirable Thai establishments in the area, and they all have their strong points. But when I say I like my Red Curry “Thai Spicy”, I am not messing around. Thai Shack East is the only place that has gotten close to making my meal to my desired level of spicy.
Every time we have ordered from TSE the ingredients have been fresh and the flavor has been top notch. The prices are competitive and well worth the money.
Shortly after they opened awhile back I had a nice conversation with the owner, who was very friendly and very interested in what we thought about their food, as well as very open to accommodate any preferences.
If you enjoy Thai food you should definitely give Thai Shack East a try…of you like it spicy tell ’em to make you regret your life… They’ll spice you right up.

I am surprised how come they got a lot of 5 star reviews!! Most probably those people never had thai food in their lives!!
We ordered 2 small tom yum soup, lobster pad thai , salmon with garlic sauce.
Tom yum soup doesn’t taste good at all,Pad Thai was chewy and only 4-5 shrimp and one small lobster tail, and salmon was tasteless. For all
this I had to pay $85 !!
With the amount that food was worthless, we throw away almost half of it.

Hands down the best Thai food restaurant on Long Island. When you walk in to the place the vibe is so welcoming and makes you feel like you are just visiting your family. Not only the atmosphere is so warm the food is out of this world. This restaurant is as authentic as it gets last time I had Thai this good was when I was in Thailand. Must try if you are in the area.

Lady at the register requested payment prior to dining in…she insisted. Tom-yum soup was just clear vegetable soup. Lobster Thai pad was too sweet. Salmon pad Thai, came with a small rice, which isn’t enough for a grown man. When requested extra rice, she charge additional 2 dollars.
My bill was about $90 and I left the restaurant with the family hungry. Only good thing was that she informed me that the bathroom was operational even though it said OUT OF SERVICE.
Never coming back again
