Omg we went during Truffle Week and it was just amazing

Allora is such a beautiful, elevated Italian restaurant with a really thoughtful concept—modern Italian inspired by tradition, seasonal ingredients, and a true love for the craft. You can feel the intention behind every dish. The truffle menu was unreal: rich, perfectly balanced, and honestly one of the best truffle experiences I’ve had.

The vibe is intimate yet lively, the space is stunning, and the attention to detail really sets it apart. Also—hands down the best espresso martini I’ve had in Charleston ☕ perfectly smooth with just the right kick.

And we have to shout out Bella, our waitress—she was absolutely incredible. So knowledgeable, warm, and made the whole night even more special with her recommendations and service.

Allora is a must for a special night out. Already counting down until our next visit

Food was very good and the waitstaff was universally upbeat and helpful despite a very crowded bar.
The bathrooms was adorable and cool.
Excellent decor.
Great coffee window with cool desserts.
About the bar. You can’t let people stand. It’s not big enough and gets way too loud. It’s not fair to your hosts, waitstaff and customers. Food runners had to force their way around.
I give a lot of credit to the staff for powering through but you could see it stressing them out.

Allora Italian Restaurant absolutely knocked it out of the park! From start to finish, our dining experience was flawless. I had the gluten-free linguine with Amalfi lemons — truly one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. They offer two different gluten-free pastas each day, which is such a thoughtful touch for those of us who are gluten-free. My friend, who isn’t gluten-free, raved about her pasta too!

The service was exceptional — our waiter, Drew, was so kind, attentive, and made us feel completely taken care of. We also tried The Spritz — a refreshing mix of strawberry vodka, Prosecco, basil, and lemon — and it was fantastic! For dessert, we shared the double chocolate gelato (amazing!) and finished with an espresso martini topped with pistachio cream — pure perfection.

The ambiance is absolutely stunning — soft pinks, deep greens, and a lush biophilic design that feels chic yet cozy. As someone who’s half Italian and knows authentic Italian food, I can confidently say Allora is one of my top five restaurants in all of Charleston. A must-visit for anyone who loves incredible food, cocktails, and genuine hospitality. ✨

I had such a great experience at this restaurant! We had a casual Sunday night dinner with friends, and from the moment we walked in, we absolutely loved the decor and ambiance. The table and seats were super comfortable and had enough space to feel private. The staff were all so friendly! Our server was incredibly knowledgable about the menu and he had some great recommendations for us. We started with the Wagyu Beef Carpacio and it was amazing! So rich and delicious. Of course, my heart was won over by the complimentary focaccia bread served in cute little paper bags – we got two it was so good! For my main course, I ordered the Ricotta Gnocchi with ripe tomato, basil and olive oil. It was classic and wonderful! My husband ordered the daily special – Sunday Sauce with Polenta and three meats – sausage and braised beef. So savory! We shared back and forth for the perfect combination. For dessert, we split the Tiramisu and a cappuccino. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

A lot left to be desired. Food was either bland or overly salty. Presentation of the food was great but just lacking taste. Clam linguine only had 5 clams and none mixed within with what tasted like only butter sauce-nothing special. Malfadine pasta had huge pockets of salt that made it hard to eat. Broccoli rabe was oddly flavored. Calamari was fine. Espresso martini and piccolo ribelle were terrible and took 35 minutes to receive. House focaccia was served cold not even room temp or warmed and very dense-but olive oil was good quality. Gelato was very good, cannoli needs some work. Our server on the other hand was amazing and very attentive and conversational as well as the other staff. I would maybe try again in a couple months once the kinks have been worked out. Great space and atmosphere minus the plastic vines.

I made a reservation at Allora a few months ago for Valentine’s Day and received a call a few days ago to ensure I was aware of their fixed price menu, which I wasn’t. I searched online and learned more about it on social media. We decided to stick with the plan. While it was expensive, my wife and I were not disappointed with our first visit to Allora Coastal Italian. Our server, Jean, and others provided excellent service and good recommendations for wine and kept our water glasses filled. The four-course meal was quite delicious. The atmosphere was very nice but our table was in the center of the room, with people walking on both sides, so it wasn’t a great table for Valentine’s Day. Our favorites on this holiday menu were lobster ravioli, branzino, and lamb chops. The included doughnuts were tasty with the strawberry sauce, but we ordered delicious gelato to supplement it.
I look forward to returning to try the normal menu sometime.

My husband and I just came home from a month in Italy and have just moved to Charleston today. We heard of the opening of allora and came to check it out! We started with fantastic drinks (limoncello spritz) followed by a wagyu carpaccio. Our server was delightful, informed, and professional. We continued our dinner with the fried zucchini pasta (which is a true Salian staple for my family in Italy). It was creamy, flavorful, and true Italian flare). My husband had the carbonara which was phenomenal. We ended the evening with a light palette cleanser with some gelato! It was a delightful night. Filled with lots of love! If you haven’t been. Allora has been open for 3 weeks and I can see a bright future for this place!
Olive was our server this evening, she was adorable, professional, and very knowledgeable about the menu.

Had dinner here the other night and all the food and drinks were great. Had the table side martinis for 2 and a limoncello martini (not pictured), both good and the table side service was fun. Octopus was delicious, and then the lemon pasta and snapper were great. They also said they can do all their pastas with gf pasta. Our server was amazing! The hostess was a little rude, but it was clear they were very busy and turning many walk ins away. The server more than made up for it though!!

GREAT restaurant. The food was spectacular, truly authentic and great flavor – the highlights being the carpaccio (the best I’ve had in CHS) and the freshly made past (perfectly al dente). Ah, and the tiramisu was to die for. This just made the top of the list as Italian restaurants go.
Service was super friendly and efficient and the rooftop was very nice.

I wish I had gotten more photos of the interior as well as our food because it was all amazing! Been here twice now, and both times the service was excellent, the food was amazing, the environment was very inviting (coolest bathroom ever lol), and their beverage selection had something for everyone (omg try the limoncello, sooooo good )
We ordered the calamari and I had the cavatelli with octopus and bone marrow, both were fantastic! Clinton served us, he very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. Recommend this place 100% ☺️☀️
