The Chart Room in Cataumet has been a summer tradition for Cape Cod locals and visitors since 1972. Our new location in Osterville, MA will keep the same traditions, offer the same atmosphere with beautiful views of the ocean and sunset, and serve the same great food made in-house from fresh, local ingredients. Loved it! It’s late September so the crowds are pretty much gone. Locals were the customers. We had a great waitress who was very kind and attentive. The swordfish and risotto were outstanding! The view of all the beautiful boats made it extra. Not sure how they do it in the summer when the crowds are out of hand. Maybe they have a bigger venue upstairs that is hidden off season?

We dined yesterday afternoon on the front porch overlooking the dock. Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and a small clam chowder. Chowder is the real thing. Great service. Easy parking.

Lovely location, a hidden gem. Although we only had drinks the staff were very helpful and found addition seats so we could sit on the porch and enjoy late afternoon cocktails.

Cute little restaurant and bar right on the docks. Fun bar atmosphere. Very friendly and efficient wait staff. The food was tasty and the menu varied but was NYC sized portions. We would recommend for somebody who does not want to go into Hyannis or up to Bourne. You also get to see America3 race boat which is right accross the parking lot.

It’s unfortunate that a place with this much potential struggles with the very basics. The service was horrendous during our last visit. It’s always a red flag when we have to repeatedly ask the server to take something from the table when walking away. No water refills, drinks subpar, the wings were tiny. There’s clearly no leadership here and it’s being run by very young staff. The trash overflowing onto the floor in the bathroom with 3 staffers hanging out around the host stand promoted me to write a review. And two apps, plus 7 or 8 drinks = $198 plus tip.

Had lunch here yesterday. I try to eat mostly plant based so the Veggie Tacos on the menu was a surprising find. They were excellent. My husband had a burger he thought was excellent also. No problems with either meals. Our server Grace couldn’t have been more attentive. She was working the outside patio of 5 tables and what I observed was that she made sure everyone was taken care of. Will definitely eat here again.
